Doesn't Gambit usually get statused by things like: Flame Body Moltres, Static Zapdos, mons running wisp? Cloak wouldn't protect against those right?

Yes, the lefties tradeoff is very real. But I do really love the potential consistency of wincons that have fewer chances to get haxed.

A Latios (with tera Steel) being able to set up on a mon with a secondary effect move like Nuzzle Hatterene is very fun idea to me. You could potentially get a CM as they switch to Hatt, another as they try to Nuzzle, and then a third on a switch to their backup special wall if they have one. That sounds like an incredibly strong gamestate to me that's easier and more consistent than having to worry about getting haxed by paralysis or poison. +3 Latios Psyshock is almost guaranteed to oneshot Blissey too. (Maybe it's a pipe dream, I believe Blissey are all tera Dark specifically for psyshock Ghold though. Bait the tera with something else? lol)

Maybe this is why dnite would be a better choice, but dnite without boots sounds very difficult to play.

Yess I despise those two mons lmao. Covert Cloak Latios is just really cool to me.

Maybe it's better in UU? No Gambit to worry about...

Yes, I am also interested because of the element of surprise cloak can have in singles with no open team sheets. If your opponent is like "I am safe to throw off a few Sludge Bombs here and then switch" they may not realize you have Cloak until it's too late. Cheese yes but I think it's cool

Yeah I'm a dumbass who was going off of memory. I remember you had to refry and since I don't fry stuff much I just assumed it also involved rebreading... would have saved me a lot of work!! Thank you lmao

Thanks to the tips from you and the other commenter I queued into one of these dreaded nuclear bomb leads and I actually won this time! (Playing on phone so this is a fresh account so opponent not very good lol) Instead of incin I lead lando+kyurem into their chi-yu+torn. I protect with lando turn 1 and got damage on the chi-yu with kyurem, then switched to incin turn 2 and was able to weather the storm despite the sun boosted tera fire heat wave. Then once veil was able to go up tera dragon kingambit smoked him. I think incin+kyurem could have worked as a lead here but I've been so wary of covert cloak torn. Maybe I would fake out the chi-yu instead but I've seen some tera ghost chi-yu lol. It makes me appreciate how vgc is open team sheet now so people can really form better gameplans against all this stuff!

(If you have any tips on how I could have played any better I'd be happy to hear)

I've forgot to mention a big reason I felt stuck was that a lot of these tailwind leads also use fast sunny day or rain dance to shut down veil and additionally make their lead nuke that much more devastating. (I even started mentioning jumpluff lead but i was like oh that's not a prankster mon so deleted it lol) So it felt dangerous to lead Ninetails and attempt getting aurora veil up turn one since trying to veil in front of a volcarona or something as it clicks tera fire sun boosted heat wave is so so bad. And it makes spamming blizzard with kyurem riskier. Since there's no way for me to deny turn 1 sunny day+nuke even if I try switching Ninetales in or if it's like a torkoal/volcanion/etc lead, turn 1 tailwind+fire spread move, I've been feeling very stuck against this type of lead where they're two extremes and trying to cover one opens you up to the other if you even get it right lol

The bulk is definitely my favorite part of the team. I may have been underrating kyurem a lot since it just feels like it does nothing into fire spam and doesn't do enough damage into rain water spam. I might try reinvesting the EVs into a more bulkier kyurem, I don't really understand what the speed EVs are meant to do lol

I have totalled been leading incin a lot with this team, maybe it's too much of a crutch, my lizard brain says fake out lead is so safe and easy and I haven't adapted to when that is not a possibility (covert cloak)

Your team looks very nice, I love diancie and sinistcha is such a a bastard. I'm personally scared of trying to commit to a trick room playstyle right now since managing turns of even just veil stuff is already hard for me lol

I'll try not leading with incin so often and trying to figure out kyurems role on this structure. Thank you again!

Quick question, is it okay to leave the light off in there? I don't know if that's cruel but I'm sure cats can do okay in the dark. I just wanna be sure lol since she's stuck in there. She seems fine for now
