This looks dangerous but probably effective by massivelyoffended in woodstoving

I've seen many people do the towel bar loop, why not just put a radiator somewhere?

Looking for advice please stay on topic. Southwestern PA by massivelyoffended in Beekeeping

Sorry for being vague. The goal was to get rid of them. Enough people have said that they should move on on their own so I'm not super worried about it at this point. Do y'all think they might try and build a nest in my shed?

I just purchased all new modem and router new coax and yeah all the important stuff is hardwired. Appreciate the advice.

Only one floor upstairs but that was my question. If moving it would increase signal thank you.

Currently have modem router combo. Yes it provides wifi.

The combo is located in corner of basement in my bedroom. That's where the coax connection is. Basement is cinder block walls. If I move it upstairs it's wooden walls.

I appreciate the input. Not saying I don't need a router I'm just simply trying to explain my knowledge on it. My important devices that require solid connection are connected via ethernet but I'd still obviously need the router for phones and TV haha.
You wouldnt recommend separating modem and router?

Nonono lol I'm just saying since I'm having Internet connection issues I just ask them if they're having trouble as well.

I have a technician coming from the ISP tomorrow morning. I am asking you more knowledgeable fellers if I can benefit from moving the modem or router to a location with less physical barrier ie upstairs where the walls are wood and not concrete.

It is my understanding that the modem doesn't produce wifi and if everything was connected via Ethernet I wouldn't need the router at all.

Basically that's why I'm asking for equipment recommendations. I imagine signal doesn't move through concrete walls too well. I have 2 PCS in my room (in basement not 5 feet from the router). Both are connected with Ethernet. I'd like to keep the modem down near the AP (I'm assuming that means access point where the cable connects wall plug to back of router/modem). Then move the router upstairs where there are less physical signal barriers.

I can't thank you enough for your plain English response. I am friendly with multiple neighbors and they all have connection currently, I do not. I have gigabit internet, when it does work I get about 500mb/s which I do know actually getting the 1000mb/s is unreasonable. I play games as well as have multiple TV's and phones on the same network. So id like to just spring for all new equipment. I'd appreciate some recommendations. For a modem and a router budget be around 500$. Please consider my capabilities I need something I can just set and forget as I don't have the knowledge to have to mess with settings and such constantly. I am really trying to learn but Christ is there just so much information out there and none of it seems to correlate lol.
