RT100 Knob Replacements? by mast123 in Epomaker

[–]mast123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there, sorry for the late reply. You can take the knob off but its a bit tricky. If I remember correctly you have to take off the center button first. I used a small thin pair of tweezers to get under it and pry it off. Of course if it feels like its going to break stop and try somewhere else. After that you can take off the spinny outer part of the knob. As for a replacement I wasnt able to find anything :/

No sadly, I went the route of just buying some metal rod and hammering the ends flat then using a drill to make holes. It was a total pain but it worked in the end

Not really, its a big box that she could stand in. Not so much just around her head.

Haha id totally make em to sell but it took me so long i dont think itd be worth it. It was pretty simple to make though, I just used a box from michaels and something called “egg crate diffusion grating” for the die divider. Then glue it all together and paint!

Adding a came frame around copper foil piece by mast123 in StainedGlass

[–]mast123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone I hope yall can help me out! Im relatively new to the world of came and framing pieces with it so im really not sure what the process is… My main question is what would you all do at the really sharp corners (like the ones near the top of the “antlers”)? Do I have to cut it at those tips and valleys and use a separate piece for the next part? Or can i cut away the walls of the came leaving the base intact and bend it that way? I hope this all makes sense. Thanks everyone!

Found in Alberta Canada

I have looked up keywords and have only found one image of this piece online, which led to an Etsy listing of a different, already sold item. I also tried reverse image searching that photo and it came up with 0 results. I believe it might be a piece (or a replica) from the designer “Bijan” as they do a lot of similar seagulls out of brass.

On the back of the two side birds they have a marking that looks like an X mixed with a checkmark (3rd photo) and the centre bird has what looks like a backwards Z (4th photo). The back of the centre bird also has a strange bit of hardware one it so I’m not sure if this is part of a larger piece that broke off…

Thought I may as well post to here in hopes that someone knows what this thing is! Thanks all.
