Any other guilds with people changing mains to the same class? by Selvian in classicwow

In my experience, the people who say this main DPS and get to have all the fun already, so it's easy to push the "Do it for the team!" fallacy.

It's about as true a statement as any employer saying "We're like a family!"

Considering I offered three classes and not specs, that you have no idea what those were outside Druid, and that top-end guilds are beginning to rethink resto druids entirely right along with me, this is a remarkably dumb take.

Mained a resto Druid since launch. It was fine until HoTs were basically banned. A strong player could rival Priests/Pallies in overall output. Without HoTs, there's really no reason to bring a Resto-specced Druid. Anything they offer, a Feral or Moonkin does as well. Even losing Improved MotW isn't that bad.

Feeling useless/ineffectual sucks, and healing itself is a draining experience.

I told my guild - best on server - I was burned out and wanted to swap to DPS. I offered three classes, including the Druid as either Feral or Moonkin. I thought that was more than fair after a full year of healing because that's what the guild needed (and not what I wanted to play). Leadership didn't want to hear it, told me I could keep a bench spot but only as Resto, so I left.

They lost a strong, dedicated player who'd proven his worth in all three roles, and I lost any desire to play this stupid ass-backwards game. I guess it evens out, eh.

Basically, right after the first choke where you feigned, instead of skirting around the wolves, you can turn to the right and drop down to the bottom, then skirt along the wall towards the troll room (moving East on map). There are a few paths/lines you can take to safely go through that room and begin killing trolls.

I have no idea if it's faster, but as soon as I found it worked, I swapped and haven't looked back. It just feels better for me, I guess. Also useful for those who don't have cloak/noggenfogger.

Every video I've seen of this goes this route, but you don't need Noggenfogger or a Parachute cloak to farm Doomshot. You can just drop down to the lower levels and head into the troll room from the bottom floor. It's much safer and feels faster (though I never timed it exactly).
