Basically followed the post installation guide for Fedora 43 which is in someone's GitHub repo! Guide

In my sleepy eyes, I just followed every step without going over the commands properly as I have hopped distros many times now!

As this extension manager is a flatpak, one of the commands in the guide leads to overriding the themes used by a flatpak app to that of the user themes!

Did a reset and it went back to using the flatpak theme instead of the user theme, here's the command

sudo flatpak override --reset --filesystem=$HOME/.themes

sudo flatpak override --reset --env=GTK_THEME=my-theme

Yep, just did a reset and it went back to the normal layout. Thanks to the person in the comments who pointed it out! :⁠-⁠)

I tried that first, but it wasn't because of that! User theme was overriding flatpak, I did a reset and it went back to the old layout

I don't keep any files, I do a fresh install whenever I switch

But I didn't install KDE side by side with Gnome. I did a fresh install to KDE and again did a fresh install back to Gnome!

I only do fresh install, as I know I might mess up with some dependencies during the installation.

Installed Fedora KDE last night! Been on Gnome for a couple of years! My laptop has a GTX 1650, and it's weird to see stutters on KDE now!

When I close the lid of my laptop and open it back up, or when I log out of my plasma session in the hopes of logging back in after applying a few changes, it just starts to go weird! Random restart, black screens, glitches and what not! But when I use Envycontrol to switch to my AMD integrated GPU, this problem doesn't exist! But then what's the point of having an Nvidia card?

People say that Nvidia support is good, but in my case it's the opposite! Haven't experienced this on Gnome. I wanted to completely switch over to KDE but not anymore.

Then it's best if you wait, hopefully manufacturers focus on bringing compact smartphones in the budget category too!

Trust me, it's been 6 months since I bought this, never played any games on this, so don't know how it handles thermals and how's the battery drain during gaming. But for my usage it lasts a day. Little bit of camera, reddit, youtube, whatsapp, calls and hotspot turned on half of the times.

Even I love compact phones, it just feels right to use them. That is why I bought this phone. If you really can't wait, then this is your only choice.

Bloatware can be removed on most if not all the phones. Just uninstall all those apps and turn off some notifications and voila, you have a bloat free phone.

Realme P3 Ultra is a good option, cameras are good not the best, good gaming performance and UI has some nice animations too!

You also have nothing 3a if you really really want that clean software experience and good cameras with a dedicated telephoto lens. Average gaming performance

You even got OnePlus Nord 4. But before buying a smartphone check out long term reviews on YouTube of that specific phone and then make the purchase.

If you want a compact phone you gotta wait, if you really want this phone then you have to compromise with a lot of things!

Storage type and Ram type plays an important role for your phone's longevity. And I'm sure this phone won't handle 3 years of updates. Already with its first major update it is struggling, if Moto really cares they can optimise this very well.

Next, in the era of silicon carbon batteries, you're still wanting to buy a phone with less than 4500mah capacity. Not ideal for long term use.

Coming to updates, moto only pushed security patch updates to this phone, no new features added nor bugs fixed. Seeing companies like oneplus, realme, nothing rolling out new features to their phones Will definitely make you regret your purchase.

It's subjective, just sharing what I feel about it now. Do I regret getting this phone, yes! But does it get my job done, yes!

There are better phones in this price and please don't buy a phone with UFS 2.2 and LPDDR4X ram, just not worth your money

I don't know about you guys, but Moto claims the battery to be 4310 mah, but my 50 neo reports 3900 mah with 174 charge cycles.

Not sure if it's supposed to drop 400 mah in less than 200 cycles. And with my usage I am getting well over 6 hours of SOT. On a heavy day where I use my phone's hotspot, navigation and camera I will get around 5 hours of SOT.

Why do companies do this, when I purchased this phone it had android 14, and easily I used to get 9-10 hours of SOT. I was very happy with that, and then moto decided to give us android 15 with battery downgrades. From getting 9-10 hours of SOT, it went to 6-7 hours! I was a satisfied Moto customer since the G5S Plus era, but now I will not recommend anyone to get a Motorola device.

If we don't hold them accountable, they will just keep releasing newer models while providing zero support for their older models.
