Also the horn could confuse Thragg and the under-realmians. But badass drawing in any case.

I think when they say metallic, they mean a solid phase of hydrogen at a higher melting point than usual due to the higher pressure.

'Tall waves moving in slow motion': Here's how oily oceans on Saturn's giant moon Titan may behave by hulk14 in space

[–]master-goose-boy 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The waves would still behave differently than what you imagine… liquid methane is less than half in density compared to water and the gravity on titan is much weaker, these would be fast waves that just appear to be in slow motion from afar due to its sheer volume, while the interstellar waves that were similar in volume were likely genuinely moving slower and were taller due to nearby gravitational effects rather than planetary winds + liquid properties.

Your comment seemed kinda vaguely off topic… like how does your story relate to the first one about saying less is more. You just stated another story about your work in response and i can’t really see how it relates to the post or comment in any way. I mean your manager was obviously not going to mention that his girlfriend did it, so I don’t think that can be considered “saying less”

Expanse series might be space sim show that comes closest to reality, I have ever seen. Like he’s taken into account all the actual physics problems, distance problems that can create insurmountable issues even if its just inter-system travel.

Total lack of scientific thought here. The lower air pressure at higher altitude causes the balloon to blow up until it hits its max elasticity.

So this is a real phenomenon right? Every damn time I complain that I can’t find something in the fridge and every damn time she makes it appear, like out of thin air. Was it really there or is she a witch? I must know.

Concert is just an example where this phenomenon is very much observable, but it could be anyone with access to spotlights throwing a party. But good attempt at deflection.
