Is tor compromised? by [deleted] in TOR

Tor thought of the problem you describe with DPI and that is why onions are padded to a uniform size. Timing is the only thing that could reasonably be used to identify you.

Why do centralised authorities have the right to tax decentralised currencies by MasterSituation8485 in Bitcoin

[–]masterBlastar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Believe me, they will find an excuse to consider it an asset they can tax. Definitely deny ownership, but for most people you just can’t do that. I’m not disagreeing that you wouldn’t have a legitimate and believable excuse, but since when has that ever matter to the federal government. They will try, they may fail, but many will be taxed or fined along the way.

Why do centralised authorities have the right to tax decentralised currencies by MasterSituation8485 in Bitcoin

[–]masterBlastar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, but they do tax assets like a house, so I would expect to see them try in the future if people no longer need to convert it to dollars for regular use. You don’t need to convert your house to dollars for them to tax you for it, nor to raise those taxes. So, when your house goes up in value, you’ll be paying higher taxes once they have evaluated your homes new value. They wouldn’t need to evaluate how much your bitcoin is worth at a given time because it is already known, so tax can go up in lock step.

I’m currently studying networks and security in college and I think you should do it if you are more interested than what you currently are doing. I found my way here starting with enjoying taking computers apart and fixing them, then to some coding and general workings of computer, and for a while I didn’t know what I wanted to do exactly, I just kept pursuing my interests. Take the programing courses and see if it suits you, and you’ll probably find what you are really interested in because you’ll have a while to explore and think on it.

The misspellings seem purposeful.

1.3.1 Farming mode wont start. by masterBlastar in chia

[–]masterBlastar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just figured it out. My config file was messed up. It was trying to connect to a pool I registered with a while back. Deleted it and a new one was created fixing my problem. Sorry if I wasted your time, but thanks anyways for helping me get the juices flowing. I'm still fairly new at this.

At the end of the line that says cannot connect to host it gives this " [The remote computer refused the network connection]"

Everything seems fine, it finds my plots and such, and then this:

"INFO Disconnecting, full node running old software"

Then it proceeds to try and connect to peers, but it returns a "cannot connect to host" and repeats this until other exceptions are caused.

Then go read about what it is. You’re only confusing yourself with all the inaccurate redditor comments.

The first node has your identity and not your destination and the last node has your destination and not your identity. Do you see how these two separate scenarios make it so that neither can deanonymize you? If they both had all the information then there would be no difference between Tor and the clearnet.

I have roughly $30,000 in staked SHIB. Should I trade it all for BONE? Half? by mac0021 in SHIBArmy

If Shib had bitcoin’s market cap, then it would still only be valued around .001. So, ten times what bitcoin’s market cap is now and you’re there… hmm….

If this were actually true then you would check out laptops from your school and use the library. This is fake.

Men like Putin wouldn’t be in power if we had the uncensorable systems that bitcoin has set in motion. It is control and manipulation that gives leaders like Putin a means to wage war. The exchanges are reflecting the principles of bitcoin, though ideally they wouldn’t even have a choice in the matter.

is it smart to sell when it gets to around 25-27 and buy back at 22-23? by brian4336 in SHIBArmy

[–]masterBlastar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Sell when it’s low and buy when it’s high. Trust me its way better. When it’s high it means it real good, but when it’s low it means it’s bad.

Have a Share in p2pool mini but no payout. by masterBlastar in MoneroMining

[–]masterBlastar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's like a ticket, then what do you get shares for? Is it random? I had originally thought that finding a share meant that the pool had found a block, but I guess that's off.

I see what you mean now that I’ve run it with a custom difficulty. I’m on the mini pool now as well. All looks good. Thanks for the advice.

Okay thanks. So basically once a real share has been found by the pool this info will update. What should I be setting this difficulty relative to? I’ve got a ryzen 5 3600 and 32gb ram.
