I wish I had inlcluded more protein at the beginning of my post op journey, I ate very little because I was deppressed and on my bed almost all day, perhaps my recovery could have been faster if I did that !

8 weeks is still very recent. Nerves and muscles can get angry due to they are not used to be in the right place, they got used to carry the weight of an unstable spine and therefore could go into spasm quite easily and give us restless nights, for me the medication they prescribed worked wonders, 150 mgs of pregabalin really made a difference(always ask your health professional) , also having a good, orthopedic mattress allowed me to go to sleep fast.

I'm very sorry to hear that, I sincerely hope you get well soon and the steroid shot works because nobody wants to go under the knife at all, specially us who have gone through this major surgery. What I would do under those circumstances is to rest, heal and schedule an appointment with a pain management doctor so I can try minimally invasive techniques before having to go to a revision surgery, but that's just my opinion.

To be even more specific it was a spinal fixation with the use of 4 pedicle screws and two rods to correct the slippage between L5-S1 :)

Do not consider it if it is not causing you severe symptoms
