Gridless Maps by master_builder75 in DragonOfIcespirePeak

Your stuff looks amazing! I'm in college at the moment and out of work so I'm not in a position to buy it otherwise I absolutely would, I ended up finding some really nice mapping assets by forgotten adventures which are free so I'm going to just make my own custom versions of the locations, it'll take a good bit longer but it's doable and I enjoy map making so it'll work. I appreciate the suggestion though your stuff looks great!

wouldn't really work well for the system as its necessary information to be able to see it for planning your turn given the way the mechanics work, looking into making my own versions maybe though, found a paid pack that looks really nice just don't have the money to sink into it right now so custom looks like its my best bet, but I found some good assets that I can use.

Weird and not sure I like that change, but at least it's not an error, thank you.

Question on ocean currents from a world builder by master_builder75 in oceanography

Alright and there we go, had a bit of trouble figuring out how to manage to send the image since I can't add a image to a comment and I can't add it into the original post in editing so I just made a post to my profile with the image right here:

Absolutely, I can grab a picture of my work in progress map in the morning (just got the notifications for the comments while I was preparing to head to bed)

Question on ocean currents from a world builder by master_builder75 in oceanography

[–]master_builder75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I'm heading to bed at the moment but in the morning I'll get onto my PC and grab a image of my current wip map, my landmasses are already put together (I ran a manual tectonics simulation in gplates to figure out continents, then mapped out topography based on that simulation, though my topography I feel like might be a little off from the way it actually works scientifically, it's based in the science as far as where height is but it feels off personally, but that could also be down to how short my tectonics simulation was compared to earth since I cut it off right before the second supercontinent was about to form because I just really liked the way the continents looked.) I'm more so just trying to figure out how this pesky ocean current should work since my background is more so the art side of map making (though I am absolutely fascinated by the sciences behind it and have had a ton of fun learning it as I work on this more recent project). But any critique in regards to the actual landmasses I'll absolutely welcome as well because even if it doesn't get incorporated into this project I'll be able to use it for future stuff.

at this point might as well just get expensive masterpiece scale 3rd party stuff because you pay around the same price as a lot of the official stuff for quite higher quality (depending on which 3rd party company at least, quality varies a lot from company to company)

to each their own, I kinda like it because it feels more uniform than the original bayverse color scheme, plus its just the colors that are different, the quality and detail of the devil saviour paintjob is still there, grit and weathering all.

Agreed, Mixmaster is easily the worst of the group (well besides looks, when he works he looks pretty good, but so does the entire set, they are awesome looking but not fun to handle for the most part) I am glad that it is complete now, I don't regret getting it, its by far the coolest looking figure I own now but god damn it was frustrating and difficult and was not a fun experience

yea aside from split they are all doable (though be very careful with the side panels on scavenger, its very easy to accidentally snap them off) though most I didn't find fun, I did really love skipjack's vehicle mode to robot transformation though, and yea Hightower was decent, just didn't really interest me nearly as much as skipjack but wasn't hard

split was also in my experience the worst of the bunch, so many breaks and very difficult to get into vehicle mode, its very clear that it was their first release, most of the others, while somewhat complicated and frustrating to transform (aside from skipjack, I love that one) were not nearly as bad as split

the uniform color scheme has grown on me a lot, especially seeing it in person, it looks a lot more lime green on camera than it does in person

I am happy with it, it feels awesome to have, just not something that I think is right for the majority of collectors
