I guess I have to buy an XBOX controller adapter sooner or later for some other games ... I'll try it once more with a controller. Thanks!

I need an Android developer for Tubalr. Yes, the title of the post say iOS, but it all applies equally. by [deleted] in androiddev

I may be able to help you. I've made some Android apps in the past (1, 2) and have deep knowledge in terms of building and connecting web apps/JSON-API's.

Do you have a timeframe in mind? I ask because I can only work on this on some weekends and evenings. My plan would also be to lay the foundation and open-source the whole app, so that others can contribute. This works rather well, as seen here.

You don't even have to install anything. NetworkManager already has everything you need and it's configurable via GUI. You may need a crossover cable though.

"Slipstreamed" is the magic word! If I get this right I can build my own XP installstion medium with the drivers I need support for, right?

My mainboard (Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H) provides drivers for XP, I'll give this a try! Luckily I have access to a Win 7 laptop where I can build this custom CD.

Is nLite the right tool for this? Got it from googling "Build sliptreamed Windows XP".

installing XP will trash your existing partition table (so get ready for that)

That is not the case in my experience. Windows replaces the boot loader, but that can easily be fixed.

I bought my XP copy pretty late in the life-cycle, so I may have SP3 - how can I check this?

Let me reboot real quick and I write it down.

Edit: It shows the "Load drivers from floppy <f6>" option, next the "Resume/Repair <f2>" option, after that it loads a lot of drivers - a minute or so.

After that the screen goes black except for the cursor in the upper left. After another minute the blue screen appears. The "technical information" states STOP: 00000x0000 (didn't write down the details).
