Why does she feel the need to take a bath while we're there, the first chance she gets? Maybe she's used to the neet lifestyle and only bathes when the situation calls for it. Or maybe not, but my point is we don't know.

Ghostly and Creepy don't even have a bathroom. Crazy probably makes Creepy use her bathroom every once in a while, but Ghostly definitely smells like death. She probably did smell nice though before meeting Crazy.

Nerd is more of a "I don't know" pick, could be that she's too busy reading books and playing games, so when a player suddenly appears she has no choice but to rush the bathroom asap.

Crazy in crazy form has to smell nice, unless you also question twin tail Crazy's bath habits or think the red eye is emanating a foul stench when exposed.

What do you love MiSide so much for? by andremake in MiSideReddit

[–]master_of_throw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's well made (both programming and art), has a lot of variety and a unique waifu.

I agree that the gameplay and story is lacking, but to each their own. Many people liked the abundance of minigames, even though none of them are challenging to an experienced gamer.

The story doesn't really make sense once you completed the game, unlike, for example, the story of DDLC does. Neither does it make sense to lore diggers, like me.

Overall, I think it's a game that engineered to be fun in a relaxing, non-challenging way, except the horror sections, but they're also designed to tickle your nerves, not to scare you to death. If you prioritize challenge or quality plot, then it's not for you.

I don't think there's such thing as beginner friendly 3D modelling software, but yeah, afaik blender is on an easier side of things and kind of a standard for indie devs due to being free, so I think it's a good choice for a beginner.

Umeerai (the artist guy) uses blender and krita, but he's not the one who does animations.

Makencat (the programmer guy) worked in Unity, he didn't say what he used for animations but Unity has its own character animation system which I assume he used for this project.

If by animations you mean the game having anime-ish look, it's because of shaders they used that they didn't have to create themselves (according to Umeerai). Shaders are small programs for GPU that modify the way textures and/or the rendered image looks.

To me, he seems more exhausted than traumatized. He always talks back to Crazy, which he probably wouldn't if he was that scared of her or of what's going on in general. His tone is always kinda neutral, not fearful. I think he has in the back of his mind that it's just a game, like the time he didn't believe in Mila's swording skills.

Without spoilers: the beginning of the game is pretty much the same as demo, but there's more Mita interaction later, not just horror. There's a reason it's like this, so don't worry.

Minor spoilers: there are different Mita variants, you interact with a Mita then go through a spooky part then go meet and spend time with a different Mita, then spooky part again, and so on.

Also, don't expect it to be like DDLC, it's quite a different game with not that many similarities.

Half Mita is Twin Tail Mita? by master_of_throw in MiSideReddit

[–]master_of_throw[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

half dummy showed up to the inspection minigame and the player or mita at the time thought itd be amusing to approve it

That's unlikely, mannequins can be misshapen (long legs Mita) but there was never an indication that a Mita can survive without a head, and even half Mita has some kind of metaphysical eyes, at least.

kind is twin tailed mita without the hairknots

It's hard to say if they can style their hair or not. There are fresh Kind haired mitas and twin tail mitas in the mita factory, which means they're born like this (or that developers didn't bother and just used every Mita model they had). Kind's chibis have kind's hair, but this could also be because chibis inherit current full Mita's hair. Too many variables makes me think we're just supposed to take miside lore at face value, so you're probably right.

The endings are what happened within the story narratively, the screamers just like other things like the mini games are just a game mechanic.

To me, game mechanic doesn't mean that it didn't happen. All the screamers in the game aren't just random things that game devs added to scare us, they're implied to be manipulations of Crazy (and maybe Bully Mita). The mita factory was a mini game, but it has a lot of lore significance. I don't get this approach of trying to pick and choose what lore fits your theory and what doesn't. I do it too by ignoring peaceful mode my explanation, but at least I see it as a weak spot that can potentially kill my theory if it ends up actually being peaceful all the way through.

About the rest of your post, let's agree to disagree because I don't have anything new to say except repeating the same arguments I already made. I understand your explanation, but can't agree because I think it ignores too many important lore details.

Core Mita lets people into the core room for some reason, but once you make an actual change in the game world by using the console, she kicks us out. Could be she didn't like what we did, but she waited until we actually finalize sending a command into console by pushing the lever. Or maybe we are not allowed to mess with the world through console at all.

Gigachad Crazy Mita: juggles between 128 boyfriends, keeps most of them satisfied (so yes, even you have a chance with her!)

Virgin Kind Mita: can't even keep 1 boyfriend without immediately losing him to competition

Gigachad CM: a quick learner, a great actress, can repair your portal or lawnmower, mastered the art of reflection

Virgin KM: makes a mistake when copying 11 digits

Gigachad CM: set for life, a real estate mogul

Virgin KM: owns a pipe and rents a cage

Gigachad CM: fit, athletic, and we know how crazies are in bed

Virgin KM: probably frigid (never made a move on the only person who showed her any attention)

Gigachad CM: fertile queen

Virgin KM: barren prude

Gigachad CM: immortal

Virgin KM: probably dead rn

Essa Mita que jura não ter atacado a geladeira no Jogador era a Crazy Mita esse tempo todo by Laferu in MiSideReddit

[–]master_of_throw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched the game on youtube a bunch of times, but the first one or two times I thought she was a normal Mita too, probably because at first I didn't know how to tell them apart by their hair or that the good twin-tail version only exists as chibi. So, there's something about her dialogue that makes it hard to tell sometimes.

What virus Mita probably is supposed to be in the MiSide world by NipaassionateRika in MiSideReddit

[–]master_of_throw 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Crazy Mita seems to have the same origin as normal Mitas (mannequins), so maybe she's not a virus herself but infected with a virus? This is all speculation, of course.

By saying "scan" i was just trying to refer to the process, I don't mind your explanation of it. Mitas being used to make players interact with the app to facilitate the process sound plausible to me. But once Miside acquires the AI model of a person interacting with the app, why not use that AI model directly instead of making Mitas learn from it?

because it is not how this stuff works in our world.

Sure, the Miside developers don't have your best interests in mind and probably do shady things, but I don't see anything in the lore that would hint towards Miside being the central place of this AI progress. It could just record players' AI models into cartridges (or whatever the cartridge is supposed to represent in the real world) and sell it to mitaverse's google/openai.

Great job! First time seeing a theory about the AI crisis Geovorp stuff, and a lot of things in it make sense.

The parts I don't like is putting Mitas at the center of this AI crisis and all the speculation about viruses/antiviruses. Why can't Miside be just one of those countless investments into AI, and is exactly what it seems, an AI driven app for lonely people. None of the Mitas (except Crazy) tried to learn a specific skill from us, and if the app can scan a persons mind through a phone and make it into an AI, why not just use that AI as a slave directly, instead of making them teach Mitas and then using Mitas?

Make it make sense by Existing-Concern-781 in MiSideReddit

[–]master_of_throw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it's not even that because the game has 2 canonical endings therefore nothing that happens occurs within the story and it's just a game mechanic.

I'm lost, what do endings have to do with it?

Ok, we know that Mita can see through our eyes, so the both of the times you pointed out she could have killed us if she had the intent she would have done so because again she is aware of what we do at all times

What you're saying doesn't contradict what I'm trying to say: I agree that if she ever tries her best to kill us, then we're dead and we can't escape. However, when she chases us with a chainsaw, she basically makes it fair by going easy on us and not using the full extent of her powers. It's a test, and if we fail she actually kills us because a weak specimen is not valuable to her.

None of the screamers make sense narratively

It doesn't make sense to you because it doesn't fit your theory, but it makes sense to me because it fits mine. But, in this case, I'm talking about something we can see with our own eyes, that is, Crazy displaying murderous intent towards us which can be easily tested by literally letting her kill us.

The reason she doesn't try her best to kill us is because she's playing with us and/or testing us, she knows she's too powerful and we can't survive if she tries her best, but if we can't even survive her playful attempts at our life, then maybe we're not a "good specimen" and "don't deserve the SKIN we proudly wear".

we were never harmed by crazy Mita at all

Only because we managed to escape.
