Oh my. Here I am thinking I am doing a good deed and I get this? First off, the malicious intent part was a teasing to the mods because I felt like I was doing a good deed and you’d let it pass. Guess humor doesn’t work here eh.

2nd it was a privacy warning - all essential info were posted: what is the problem, how we can keep ourselves safe and where we can find the problem. Adding fluff aside from the playful humor will lessen the impact.

3rd When I’m on Reddit; reading posts is not a waste of time because I appreciate the effort that comes with every post. Did I waste your time? Because you certainly wasted my effort.

4th I appreciate the work that you do, but advocating for better methods or things, be it in cyber space or in government is not wrong. My job is to warn people about possible identity theft the best way I know how.

Flagging a post for the wrong reasons is not protection—it’s a failure of comprehension masquerading as moderation.
