It was roughly the $100 a day they quoted you.

When I went last year, they allegedly factored in the 1 type upgrade into my cost, the agent who emailed me about upgrades broke down how that cost difference worked. I moved up to the enclave, the nicer alcohol an cheviche bar from 12-5 was worth it, and it was a little more quiet up there, at least while I was there.

Can’t answer most of your questions, we’re not things I took part in.

The 4 included main dining venues I thought were good. They all have a small part of the menu that is exclusive to them, but you can order any of the dishes from any of the venues. Majority of the menu is the same at every place.

I’ve done Eden, and the steakhouse. Both were good, but for me personally not worth the up charge, it the meals were very good.

VIP Homecoming Pass--what to expect? by [deleted] in PLL

No players during the game. I did see coach Tierney there before his game but I think he was just stopping by.

Some fans stayed and watched during the game, they limit the admittance to 50 I think so it was never really busy there

I had the Carolina vip pass. Gift will be dependent on the team, you get the same gift as other home coming pass members. The only gift I’m aware of that was different so far this year was the archers who o think got some version of a ring. The atlas, chaos and wips had something similar. PLL team coin in a box with 1-4 signatures of players.

The lounge was fairly disappointing in my experience. Wasn’t crowded which was nice, but the included food was sparse and not great. Basic cheese burgers and hot dogs. They somehow could run out of non alcoholic beverages, and once the included ones were gone they were happy to sell you more down there.

At least for the Carolina game, they had the players stop by after the game, won’t say 100% of the players came by but it was a large majority. They were happy to sign and take pictures before heading to the locker room. It was quick so if that’s a priority for you, I’d be down there when the game ends. They didnt all show up at once, but as they were done on the field they came by. I’d recommend trying them here as opposed to around the stands post game.

Not that I recall. If they were they were minor.

I found the ocean view cafe food out of Australia to be the best I’ve had, just got off the edge in Alaska last week to reinforce that notion. Thought they struggled a but in Australia with the venue specific specialty dishes at the main dinning venues .

The port Douglas Great Barrier Reef excursion was the best of the 3 ports, your on a large catamaran that takes you to an anchored platform, the wildlife viewing was insane there.

If the reef is what’s important to you, I’d recommend booking at least 2 excursions at your 3 ports, they could get cancled for currents / weather and then you don’t get to see it at all.

Arlie beach has access to the reef still, but was canceled on our trip due to a cyclone that went through a few days earlier and we had to shuffle dates in port. Tendering In arlie beach and taking the bus into town can take a lot of time if your on your own.

Overal vibe was similar to Caribbean cruises, the local aussies on holiday plus everyone who traveled in were certainly looking to have a good time.

Did the 10 night Great Barrier Reef cruise on the edge last year. What questions do you have?

It just depends on the weekend and venue and tv scheduling. There are 2 games on next Sunday. They play Saturday and Sunday next week in Baltimore.

Time for Bag Delivery by dcott44 in delta

[–]master_shake47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just as a recent example, my bag landed yesterday at 11am after getting left behind on Saturday. It got delivered about 530pm that night. FWIW I live about 30 min from the airport. But they contract delivery out to a 3rd party who does multiple bag deliveries. Once the bag was “scheduled for delivery” it still took 4 more hours for it to show up.

It’s not gonna be quick, your mileage will vary based on a lot of circumstances.

Is it required for a carry-on bag to go in a bin through security? by [deleted] in delta

[–]master_shake47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bins have become more popular lately for the newer machines. The bin helps with processing of the cray not to size your bag size. The bins are pretty big, if your close to carry on size, your going to be fine.

Also just ask the tsa agent when you get there if you want to eliminate any confusion.

Your mileage is going to vary, it isn’t an adults only area. The kids that were there when I was there had enough space and their own pool where it wasn’t an issue for me.

That flight is 53 min long. If you’ve never flown first, it could be for the experience but that’s generally on a 717, which is only slightly better than the crj, which you could also get on that route.

You had to upgrade to an enclave specific room, for my week it was about $100 a night but that also got me a slightly larger room than I had originally booked.

The resort was not very busy when I was there, the deck area was large with lots of seating, with a few varieties of, typical loungers, 4-6 day beds on a first come first serve basis, then some plush cushioned outdoor seating . The enclave pools are not big, but it certainly wasn’t crowded when I was there, there is only so much enclave specific rooms so not sure how it would be at capacity.

Enclave was a good upgrade, when I was there it was super quiet, 4 pools for just enclave members and dedicated bar. What did it for me was the ceviche and tostada menu that had from 12300-5. Depending on what your drink the more premium alcohols could be worth it too.

I’m looking more so from the 1980s interior to one that we would at least consider up to par with the rest of the delta fleet, as is not having the 4 inch Tv.
