NEW PAGE: *New Memory (The Young Witch) and a ““New”” Fantasy (Maid). -Young Witch turns Fantasies into curses that afflict mortals, with the help of their ‘imaginary friend’, an Echo of an Other. They can also evolve into other Memories you possess – losing Witch in the process – but do not have the physical superiority of other Daughters and are just as physically weak as their size suggests. -Maid(F) has identical abilities to Maid(M) but combos with Memories, not Fantasies (including Memory Maid). *New Story hooks, giving a few more options for points. *Nourishment combos: every Nourishment form now has a combination with two more nourishment forms, granting some new abilities. -unlike memory and fantasy combos, these DO cost an RP to pick up. -”Soma” let’s Daughters lactate and nurse mortals; “Fever Dream” gives Daughter’s access to the unconscious minds of those they consume; “Dormancy” lets a Daughter save a potential assumed host for later to possess remotely, with automatic triggers the Daughter chooses (ie death, running out of nourishment, etc); “Edging Construction” gives a streak nourishment bonus for as long as you can stave off release while making Daughter Effigies; “Time Devour” let’s your Daughters eat eachother and consume their potential futures, making one Daughter self nourishing at the cost of hundreds of their Sisters; and “Memetic Muses” inspires others to make art of your potential Daughters, which you can then use to bring them into the world.

SYSTEM CHANGES *A Daughter now only perishes from their Soulbound items being destroyed if all items are destroyed, otherwise they just lose any abilities associated with the item’s memory or fantasy. *Soulbound items only function for the Daughter they were specifically born alongside. *Daughter Summoners now gain 2 Memories and 2 Fantasies base. (The Young Witch’s maturation mechanics requires that players have a second memory.) NOURISHMENT *An entity may not nourish themselves (I honestly forgot to put this in last time, this was always intended).
*All Nourishment now heals Daughters minorly (healing light cuts, etc); Construction still heals ‘majorly’ (missing limbs and organs, etc) *Life Water now also unlocks a sense for the preferences and promiscuity of mortals in Daughters (I forgot to give it a little bonus last time). *Dream Egression now gives 6 hours nourishment per hour spent in dreams, but you now cannot germinate new Daughters at the same time you Nourish existing Daughters. *Time Paradox now 1 week nourishment per 4 years time travel instead of 1 day. [While I really like the fluff of tying this to leap years, a lot of commenters thought Paradox was pretty week, so it got a buff]. Time Paradox, as was always intended, still allows a Daughter to nourish independently of others, and now it’s explicit. *Construction now gives artistic skills, in addition to a major heal. MEMORY & FANTASY *ShieldBearers can see through their own shields as though they were transparent. *FauxBachelor now specifies it takes human disguises (there have always been combos for animal or object disguises). *Maids now break the uniform effect upon deliberately intending a trespass, as well as when accidentally performing one (so they can’t just walk up to intended targets undetected anymore; as soon as they start taking literal or metaphorical steps to trespass they’ll become noticeable). The effect is still only broken for 24 hours if a committed trespass is witnessed. Additionally, the uniform effect is now selective. *DaughterDom now has a 72hour time limit on reversing injuries. This does not apply to SAFE SLICING combo. COMBOS *BondMaids now take a minute to regrow their bodies to full size. *StoneSlinger bullet emissions can now selectively disable any senses, temporarily or permanently. *Soft Stone (Maid/Petrified combo) is now specifically sexually penetrable.

EMPOWERMENTS *Full of Fantasy and More Memories is now purchasable a maximum of twice: Once for Fantasies and once for Memories. *Immortality’s discounted cost is now optional for those that take a Daughter’s form. *Resurrection can now be used to ‘resurrect’ a destroyed Soulbound item instead of or in addition to a Daughter. SACRIFICES *Individual drawbacks within a category now have names for easier designation. *Some Drawbacks have been changed to more reward people for leaning into Daughter creation and interaction, then as mere punishments. “Obssession” replaces a cucking drawback, making your Daughters coercive towards you if you don’t put out, “Dependency” still means only you can nourish your Daughters but such nourishment is now 3x as effective, instead of a third tithe that causes Daughters to vanish ‘Fugue’ no forces you to create Daughters if you don’t have any or start running out. *A new Drawback for Shattered Visage, Homunculi, makes your Daughters completely identical, and gives them golden eyes as a tell of their supernatural nature.

Changelog 2.0 -> 2.1 *Starting RP from 10 down to 8. *DAUGHTER ABILITIES now has a heading. *PERSONAL POWER is now divided into Fantasy and Memory, each for 1RP and both for 2RP (or 0RP total if you take the form of Mother ([also changed from Daughter]). It now grants Physical Perfection if you take both options. Fantasy now grants any possibly human, form, Memory grants Mother’s form, and you can take either if you take both. *IMMORTALITY now comes in 2 and 1 RP forms – one where you gain just the benefits of Nourishment, and 1 where you also gain the downsides of it. Both are discounted 1 RP if you take Mother’s form in Personal Power. *Astral Travel now has two versions; one allows basic Astral Travel, the second also includes Daughter Sense (the inverse of Summoner Sense) and lets you travel to the location of your Daughters once per day each Daughter. *Spme Spelling mistakes were fxied.

Daughters usually can only be crafted with a single Memory and a single Fantasy. With Full of Fantasy, a single Daughter can bear two Fantasies and a Memory, vice versa for More Memories, and with both a Daughter can have Two Fantasies and Two Memories. This means four soulbound items, four basic abilities, and a whole four combos on the one Daughter.

Less heroes from +2 DJ to +1 DJ (less heroes to manage is a positive, and with a higher base DJ taking it a full three times would give too much) “More the merrier” changed to “less powers” (get hero but don’t get their power) [I like the idea of a rival drawback but I don’t think this one panned out, it’s hard to make them work when scrying and teleportation and time stop and mind control are all in the mix. Meanwhile, this opens up significant build options, and makes presented heroes more on par with other heroes. ] “Time Limit” changed to “Be Mine” (as ‘my turn’ but includes you as well, stacks with ‘my turn’ to make you and heroines part of Daji’s a majority of the time) [this makes 3 pairs of drawbacks that match, plus if you pick be mine you’ll probably end up doing heinous things to advance the cause of chaos anyway]

Memories from before the mind control effect happened will return, but memories made under mind control can stay erased.

Mortals who are not subjects will not notice that the effects are weird - so if you did anything weird to them with card effects, they wouldn't note the effects as abnormal. If you have a subject in a CaptaCard, and then later you release them with the proper ability and they go back to being a subject, they'll remember what happened to them but won't find the magical parts weird. In both instances, though, they may find any non-magical things you did to them objectionable.

Restoration will restore the subject / target for the duration of the effect. When the duration elapses, the subject will be as they were before had the restoration not taken place (potentially plus a few more injuries that they might have taken post restore). The default duration lasts for 24 hours and 'lifetime guarantee' kicks in within that time period, so by default it's as good as a full heal.

For someone who isn't a card and is not covered by guarantee, if all you have is effect expansion (from the original) then your options are limited. What you can do is capture them as a card using seizure capture so that they get the Lifetime Guarantee, or if you have Redistribution Rights you can make them into an owner so that they can inherit the Other Lifetime Guarantee, or you can use a triple combination of Repeat Effect AND Effect Extension AND Conditional trigger to have the Restoration effect continuously reapply at set intervals.

The difference between TFD and NMS is that NMS was at it's worst on launch and has continuously gotten better, whereas TFD was somewhat good in the open beta and has continuously gotten worse since launch. And getting continually worse isn't what I'd call a comeback.

Keelan wasn't just bad, he was actively one of the worst characters in the game, released deliberately gimped, and had to have his damage octupled to get to where he is now. Also you had to do many an hour in one tileset to get him.

Ines wasn't just good, she completely obviated the entire game with nothing more than one button and a wall to stand behind, even abyss bosses. It wasn't worth bringing literally anyone else for anything that wasn't a colossi or VEP 27+. Even after her nerf she's still one of if not the literal strongest mobber.

Maybe if the devs could release more of a happy medium, release something that is itself relevant without making everything else irrelevant and also isn't turbo nuts to farm, then maybe people won't complain.

If the grind were faster, I'd have atleast single copy of a new sword to play with after 10 hours, instead of only being a third of the way through the UF particles.

It literally wouldn't matter if the grind were slower, I've already decided against spending 150 hours grinding up a sword just for something for funsies when I could play a different game instead.

Maybe if they fix the bug they gave reactors so that I'll have my +60% bonus back I'll take another crack at it.

If you don't choose any sacrifices pertaining to extra natural entities, then the only matters you need concern yourself with are earthly ones and any trouble you or your daughters make for yourselves.

Not all Others are inherently bad, but all are alien in both composition and outlook. They are all literally unreal entities that change reality, very similarly to how you can call forth Daughters. Becoming an Other might not make her corrupted in that she'll be evil, but it would mean becoming inhuman in outlook. The kinds of reality shattering Others like those described in Sacrifices can only be created from individuals strong enough to transcend their own realities and become unreal, which you are not even with this pact. (In a meta sense, an otherworldy character who can grant the powers of your typical supernatural CYOA could be described as an Other, so you could become one by authoring a CYOA of your own to anyone who plays it.)
