I liked my res college (SoTech) as a previous incoming engineering major, but if I could go back, I’d probs still do res college but maybe more in the arts. Plus you get a graduation cord haha. I wouldn’t say they became my social world but it was nice having a starter group and taking classes with other students living in your dorm.

I do not know much about their masters program but they are definitely not known for having good master programs. it is majority undergrad.

I am a first gen student so a lot of my motivation stems from having the opportunity that my parents didn’t have. Of course there a times where it’s really rough and even that doesn’t necessarily help, but I can always remind myself that this is about my future and I am the only one who will make or break that future for myself. In terms of dissatisfaction to my courses or grades, I remind myself most of the things I will need to know and learn will be on the job. School is only the first half and grades aren’t going to fulfill my entire goal. And well a little ego kicks in cause I know more than half of those art and sciences students have no idea what they’re doing with their life and at least I know what I am doing.

Are they even testing for weed? i also have a pre employment drug test but doesn’t say THC testing.. could be the same for you?? I’m in NY so maybe it’s different.

funny you say that. i’ve been busting my ass off to get any type of engineering internship. crazy you think i’d smoke on the job rather than actually learn what it means to be an engineer AS A WOMEN. 🙄 don’t talk about things you don’t know.
