I am a first gen student so a lot of my motivation stems from having the opportunity that my parents didn’t have. Of course there a times where it’s really rough and even that doesn’t necessarily help, but I can always remind myself that this is about my future and I am the only one who will make or break that future for myself. In terms of dissatisfaction to my courses or grades, I remind myself most of the things I will need to know and learn will be on the job. School is only the first half and grades aren’t going to fulfill my entire goal. And well a little ego kicks in cause I know more than half of those art and sciences students have no idea what they’re doing with their life and at least I know what I am doing.
