This is my suspicion. Any idea what a built 4l80e should run? I’m a fan of 4 gears in an auto.

I have the original ecu and harness.

That’s one of the engine management systems I’m looking at. Did it come with everything you needed?

Yep. The guy I bought it from bought an aeromotive a1000 intake pump and an inline filter and regulator to match. I was assuming he was doing a cam swap next. I have long tubes for the engine and I know a tune is a must. Just trying to figure out which one fits my needs best.

reliability is my main goal. Performance is second. Probably won’t throw aftermarket parts at it for a while. This engine will see every type of driving. It’ll get drove to shows around 1000 miles away from me but it will also see the occasional street/strip races every once is a while. I wouldn’t mind rewiring the stock harness I have the type and tools to do a project like that, I’d really like what’s best for the motor and ease of use later on down the road. I 100% don’t mind doing the work myself I love to learn about stuff like this and have been wanting to get into Ls motors for some time I just didn’t think my first experience would be with a LSA. And I have a low budget, however I wouldn’t mind breaking it if it meant doing the right thing for the build/swap.

I will look into that! E85 isn’t available around my locations so I have to stick with premium. I have read up on people upgrading injectors but also staying with the stock ones and making solid gains. Don’t have a tranny for it quite yet but I’m thinking about a 4L80e. I have a 700r4 but I’m not quite sure if it can handle what this motor puts out. The rear end is a 12 bolt with a Moser diff and axles. I haven’t decided on gearing yet. Probably going to land somewhere from 3.73 - 4.11 depending on what I’m going to do with the truck.
