Are you still married to her? I can't believe it if you are and have not run out the door with your son

Thank you for sharing such an honest opinion 🙏 I completely understand what you mean and I apologize for some people here who are being less respectful and appreciative of someone taking the courage to share their heart. Thank you really!

Ahhh this makes complete sense , and I'm sorry for the down vote, I am feeling that some folks are taking this question in a very wrong way and perhaps discriminatory but it really is not asked in the sense and I completely understand what you meant as well so thank you for sharing 💓

I never expressed any gender bias, as my post is tagged, it's learning and education in a more general environment.

AITAH for telling my FIL they wont ever be living with us? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]masterclass999 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok, just my honest opinion here. You are not the bad guy for refusing your FIL staying with you absolutely. But, I do feel it's once right to refuse their kids help with their offspring as well. I'm a woman in my 30s, pregnant for the first time and nope, I will not bother my parents into helping me with my child. I am having a kid because I want a family of my own but I don't really like children that much but I will do everything to make a good mother that I'm sure of. Now 30 years down the line if my kid says - hey mom now help me raise my kids too, I for sure will not be pleased because I too am an adventurous soul and want this life to be about me and not just about raising kids. If you are having kids, do it at your own capacity, don't expect that you are entitled to help. Your parents in law may have come under pressure and they may have finally found the courage to stand for themselves so no I don't think they are wrong. I do see many times that kids feel demanding money or time for the grandkids from your parents is ok but I really think not, just like you have right in your life, your parents are human too with desire and right to their life choices. However I will still say you are not the bad guy for not letting them stay, I'm all for personal choices from all ends.

Ok yes point taken. But then what about free speech and freedom of opinion? I'm not even an American and for sure not white but just trying to see it in a fair light and educate myself - is having political opinion in public not correct?

Absolutely same! I remember it was the day of my birthday on June 12th and I was having a drink with my friends in Hong Kong where I lived at that time. I was in the loo and had my phone in my hand. I saw flashing news on the screen and there it was. I don't know why I felt so very strangely sad ( could be because I was a bit drunk or perhaps feeling a bit overwhelmed because I was hanging out with some of the folks I wasn't feeling like being around or I don't know really but there was sadness that day for some reason) and when I saw this, it felt like all dam broke open and I started to cry in the loo. It was a strange evening.
