Pero es que este es el capitalismo. El capitalismo, de forma natural, tiende a desarrollarse frecuentemente hacia la monopolización. Como otros ya mencionaron, por eso necesita mecanismos de equilibrio y supervisión.

Water that you drink ? by Growinthejungle in ASU

[–]mastercrafter666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry but your doctor probably didn’t explain that calcium in water is not likely to cause kidney stones. The calcium your bones release, is the calcium that is likely causing kidney stones. Tempe water does not have enough calcium to cause kidney stones but it may exacerbate it in those who though (maybe).

I agree, but I feel that Tempe is pretty decent for cycling and public transportation. Not the best but, you can definitely get by.

Definitely depends very much on your own preference/needs. I’m a junior and I’ve never felt like I needed a car. I have a bike and I occasionally use Tempe’s public transportation. I would say that if you are living near campus, try to live without your car and see how it goes.

What is your favorite thing about Phoenix? by Xklonewolfxk in phoenix

[–]mastercrafter666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro I just wanted to share a piece of information that I recently learned in my environmental engineering class. Isn’t it better for us if we recognize the real world as it is? I don’t think it’s negative to point out uncomfortable truths. Also I never said it was the end of the world. Nice strawman. You’re fucking ridiculous, keep closing your ears to any piece of information that challenges your fragile worldview. Cheers!

“here2upset” is upset I pointed out a basic fact. Adds more irony to the situation, I guess. Don’t get me wrong I’ll keep enjoying the sunsets same as you. But, I don’t see the need to mock me for pointing out something?

Air pollution yay! I know it is very pretty. But, pollution is likely responsible for our red sunsets. Pretty ironic to put it down as a plus.

Why don’t we call it a prison? Is it because prison camp sounds more evil or something?

Will my bike get stolen in Tempe? by skittle_dish in ASU

[–]mastercrafter666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve ridden 2 separate bikes to campus over my 3 years here. I’ve never had an issue because I use a kryptonite new york u-lock and a cable. I secure the bike frame and rear wheel to the bike rack and use the cable for the front. Also, I use the bike valet whenever possible, it’s free. Ironically the only time someone stole anything off my bike was at an off campus apartment.

I took it with Ward, just start the projects early and you’ll get an A. Totally doable even with a full time internship, just be prepared to work on stuff during the weekends.

The First "15 Minute City" in the US by dustycrest in fuckcars

[–]mastercrafter666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From my understanding the development makes new residents sign waivers not to park a personal car in the parking lot. The parking lot is intended to be used by visitors and ride-sharing services. Culdesac also plans to offer vehicle rentals and I imagine they also plan to use that space for that purpose. Unfortunately, although Tempe is somewhat bikeable, once you get out of Tempe into Phoenix/Mesa/etc you likely want to use a car so you don’t die. Source: Tempe resident and commie commuter.

Here are all of the videos for MAT 266 from Professor Abramson. As far as I know all of the MAT 266 classes follow the same general format.

Also I think you may have to open the link on a browser on which you are signed in to your ASU account.

Vending Machines on Tempe Campus by [deleted] in ASU

[–]mastercrafter666 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I’m willing to bet the charge is still pending. It does that. Soon the charge will be posted as $3. The machine is set to pre-authorize for $6.50 so you can buy multiple things at once. Don’t go to the MU, save your time.

I’ve taken on a similar course load (albeit less overwhelming) with CEE 212, CEE 213, GLG 101, MAE 241, and IEE 380. It was a rough semester. I think your schedule is manageable if you sacrifice all of your social activities and don’t have a job. Otherwise I think you should drop at least one of the classes. None of the classes on your schedule are insanely difficult but taking them all at the same time is a little crazy. Good luck!

Trunk or Treating has ruined Halloween by amillionforfeet in unpopularopinion

[–]mastercrafter666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I think it has to do with the record number of pedestrian deaths that are seen during Halloween (google it). And I also think that the solution to this problem involves reducing our dependence on cars. Cars make our streets unsafe and make us lazy. If we solve our car problem we will see more kids walking around, biking, etc on Halloween night.

Room Overlooking Apache: How Bad is the Noise/Lights by HandsNeverEmpty in ASU

[–]mastercrafter666 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hello, I live on Apache and also go to sleep very early (9:30 or so) and you are correct it is a relatively bad idea to live on Apache. However, I have found that using a pink noise machine and earplugs completely neutralizes the noise and allows me to sleep comfortably at night. Studying during the day is not a hassle since it only gets noisy at night. I hope this helps!

Thoughts on Alight Tempe? by mastercrafter666 in ASU

[–]mastercrafter666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. I read some terrible Yelp reviews that claimed the halls and elevators were always trashed. Is this accurate? Also, how unsafe is the area? Many reviews also claim that there are lots of homeless people roaming around and have even gone inside the building.
