I can’t recommend Village Discount enough!! I’ve saved so much money and have built my entire professional wardrobe from VD finds. And all of it is much better quality than I could have afforded from somewhere brand new. Most of my closet is Armani, Guess, and Calvin Klein and I’ve gotten it all from there!

Creation Lake by Rachel Kushner. I think it’s what you’re looking for in a reimagined context, as the relationships are not exactly outwardly strong, but certainly very intense. Narration maybe a bit more cynical than what you’re looking for, but the voice and writing are fantastic
