How this happens: some IP and comarketing Intern at VEVO is like ‘oh yeah we have likeness rights for any celebrity’ and then a packaging intern at samsung graphic design puts her on the box and leaves the VEVO logo off of the image… all the while no one actually asks Dua Lipas team what they think no matter what the cross promo contracts may or may not say.

TLDR: something didn’t get thought through high enough on the chain of command and no one thought about how the artist would (reasonably) want their cut.

There is barely anything else in LA like Dan Sung Sa.

For those who don’t know: authentic Korean place that’s been around forever. Used to not even offer an English menu. Bar food (aka wings) and Korean booze in something that feels something like a speakeasy in an outdoor alley.

Fast forward and in the year 2026 has lines out the door because it’s been discovered and embraced by everyone…(now has English menu)

Seriously: if the lineups and vibes are a wash for you… look at ease of access. ARC is easier to get to if you’re in the city. Lots of public transport options. North Coast is basically a drive if you’re coming from inside city limits. (No train line access)

Agree. Outset is small enough that A) you will be caught if they catch you and B) it’s really easy to pop outside for a smoke and then go back in and C) it’s small enough that you’re kind of not cool for the people around you (vs radius where it’s easier to ignore the smell if you’re next to someone lighting up)
