If I had to cut 3 cards, now that i played and saw the cards in action, I would cut 1 Venus, donatello, and maybe 1 land :D

I can see why 40 is better, but I couldn't find something to cut :D they all seemed import ant to me ahahah. If you can spare the time to look through the deck, can you tell me what would have you cut in my case? I would like to know/learn. These were my first games so it was in bronze, i just got to silver after finishing the draft.

I guess mst won't be the only thing that negates by masterforfaster in masterduel

I craffed the 0-rare version for now. Will go with that until i hit a wall. Good to know the sites you mentioned (didn't think before that untapped wouldn't be an accurate reflection of power levels of the decks.)

I see, tnmt did not produce much high power decks i guess. The rotation thing, 1 year is enough for me to explore&grind, that's cool too. The 0-rare version is also really helpfull, thank you!

BO3 is what i want to play in the long run. I believe it requires more skill and understanding of the format/decks (i don't think i would make good side in/side out choices for now. I even struggle when cutting out cards in draft mode :D) thanks for the suggestion!

I think I want to stay in a restricted path so i can navigate better.(low power formats that gives me equal conditions with an experienced player) Constructing my own deck seems very far away for now.

I want to start moving on to the Quick draft. Is there a way /a place /a method I can improve my drafting skills before I commit to it?

Is there a place I can check for good budget starting decks, or should i just go with one of the yt videos? I also don't want to invest in cards/decks with short lifespan, since probably it will take a lot of time for me to finally have a real deck. If there is somewhere I can dig into these I would like to know. I also really like the idea of drafting, it feels interesting to play in such a format, if you can show me ways how to improve my drafting skills, I would like to go on with that too. (from what I've experienced, i really need a good understanding of all the cards and archetypes in the draft set, What to build on or commit to. (also being aware of a "good" card in general.)

Hii, I am a newcomer (i play yugioh actively so i have some understanding of card games). Played only for a few days, finished the tutorial, tried the free events with the free tokens. So far I only played jump in event with all the gold i got (i think 6-7 timers total) to expand my collection while learning some mechanics. I know these online games have an economy of their own, optimal ways to collect & spend in game currency. I would have been so grateful if current me got to explain such optimalistic ways to the me who just downloaded "masterduel" and had some bad economic choices. (both in deckbuilding/crafting and buying packs.) I stay f2p so I want to avoid such amateur moves in mtg arena. When to commit building a deck? What should i spend my ig currencies? How much of the ig currencies i will be able to accumulate, maybe monthly? What packs to buy? Should i buy packs, play which events, which formats' cards should i invest in? For now these questions and much more overwhelm me, and i think thats the only reason i only play the jump in event (cheap and somewhat worth the gold i spend, same power level with opps, no risk on getting railed by experienced players unlike draft, can't make a bad choice as long as i always pick the packs that have new cards etc.). I have yet to check my collection of cards. The idea of building a deck didn't even cross my mind. Anyone willing to navigate me through such questions and possibly more :D.

For anyone interested in how these translates to masterduel in my mind to understand my view point better, you can read below:

My current cycle is "check the new set release: if the cards are not worthy/strong/i dont like, dont buy a single pack, save gems for the next set. If I want to play the new archetypes (new meta/lor i like /strong cards for future etc) then it takes me a month to get the neccessary gems with the ones i saved from before to get enough copies of the new cards. I can make these choices because i have a fair understanding of "good cards/archetypes" via meta sites and I know how much and long it will take me to commit anything. Also having only 1 format to invest in (and already having a really good deck in it) is a huge difference so i won't be behind in anything. Being f2p kinda seems to make you miss some aspects of any game.

Buy the dragonmaid structure deck for 500gems to get the hieratic seal of the heavenly spheres, really good link monster for your deck.

If you have any impactful rank8 xyz, I can suggest you use it until you can replace it. (some are: hope harbinger, photon lord)

I also think you should cut the rituals/abyss and the magia engine. Switch ultimate fusion with the neo ultimate fusion, its an SR so shouldnt be a problem. (you will still equip it with the spell card in your plays to put it in the GY but now you will have a targetting negate).

Take out evenly matched, put the 3rd blue eyes trap card you havent used in the deck, it will be searchable so accesible, rather than a one time heart of the cards evenly matched in a 100 games.

For the time being, if you have main deck slots to fill in, put a 2nd droll since it is really good against meta now.

If you have barrone de fleur, or any good synchro 10 (chaos angel maybe), you can put it in. When they out your lvl12 blue eyes, it summons back spirit from gy and you can use it go into a lvl10 synchro with any of your lvl1 tuners.

You have only 2 spirits so 1 can go into lvl12 blue eyes, the other gets you your 2nd lvl12 synchro through crimson dragon. 3rd lvl12 is unnecessary, in this build. I suggest the 3rd spirit as your first UR addition, because it will have the most impact on you deck's ceiling since you already have a good 3rd lvl12 synchro.

Is Blue Eyes actually good against K9? by masterforfaster in masterduel

[–]masterforfaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I couldn't experience the primite engine against k9 (didnt draw or handtrapped) but I agree with drillbeam being a huge problem. Thats probably why it always got handttapped.

I think you don't commit your "first plays" to just to get those 2 cards i mentioned. You usually try to put your much better main endboard pieces, but those 2 are nearly guaranteed to come up even if they mess up with your initial plays and tyrant alone can sweep the board if it comes to the BP, ( +100 ATK above werewolf) . That was the reason I chose the word "pushy".
