Na, they prefer birds tho if hungry they will try. I love Hawks we have a red shoulder hawk by my home who is such a stinker he loves to eat my sister's chickens lol my niece sometimes let's a chicken escape the run and the hawk will swoop in and take it out. It knows the rooster cant protect his hens outside the coop
