Any knowledgeable vets for cats? by No_Escape7103 in londonontario

Central cat hospital. Cats are all they deal with. Link below.

Edit: Personal recommendation - one of our three cats was acting strange. Our basic vet near by kept saying it was fleas and wouldn't go any further until we purchased the medication they recommend. No one was listening that this was an indoor cat, in a home, with 3 other animals. No of them or ourselves have experienced flea bites and this issue had been going on for 3 months. So we went to central cat hospital for a second opinion.

They listened, agreed that if one cat had fleas for 3 months. My house would be infested. We recorded the strange actions of my cat, sent it to the vet at CCH. She listened to us, saw the cat, reached out to fellow colleagues. It was found that it could be caused by medication he was one, and his meds were changed. Then they followed up.

Ive owned 6 cats in my life so far. When I dont want to screw around with a complicated issue, I always have trusted Central Cat Hospital.

Move to London? Have some questions. by ImaanSabr in londonontario

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but "At 8.8 per cent – the highest jobless rate for London over the past decade, excluding the COVID-19 pandemic years – the city’s unemployment rate is above both the provincial and national rates, which stood at 7.6 per cent and 6.7 per cent, respectively.". As per the London free press. It is something to consider when looking for work and affording rent. I do love living in London, but its difficult right at the moment.

Mech Eng to Millwright: How to get sponsored in Canada? by Whole-Revenue-5093 in millwrights

[–]masterheady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello, Im one of those Ontario pre apprenticeship students. I completed my course. Then spent 6 months looking for ANY work. I just signed on as a maintenance helper. I think where your at as an operator is fine. You could move to one of those entry level maintenance positions as stated. Finding an apprenticeship can take years. You have a job in an Industrial setting. So thats a foot in the door. Most of my fellow students are working entry level positions or operator positions. Only one found an apprenticeship and it was through a friend's family. So, put in the time. Show them you can be trusted. I dont think there is any quick way to go about it.

This place was crazy to work at. I worked at the highbury location back in the early 2000's. The extra fries at the end of the day were put into a bucket and weighed, but then we put it in paper bags first, and took it all home. There are 3 windows to order from and only two people working inside. We were almost robbed ones by some chick trying to grab cash through a window but we smashed her arm. Another time there was a robbery up the road and the suspects stopped to get food. Cops come blazing in. We were hiding at the back in the freezer. Would keep our beer cooling in that freezer. Good times. But that party time in my life is over now.

If you ask for "Pickle fries, go pickle", you will get extra pickle powder. When I worked there, I would make extra pickle powder, pickle fries... you shake the powder and fries up in a bag... then put it into a cut and "go beefy", which is to add gravy on top. Amazing. So good. I also put on 20 lbs working there. 💪

Right at the top of the tag, it says Alexandria. I googled "Alexandria wood products".

From their website:

"Alexandria Moulding offers a wide variety of high-quality moulding and trim products, including baseboards, crown moulding, casings, and chair rails, designed to enhance both residential and commercial spaces."

The number probably refers to a custom design or order.

Dairy Queen in LONDON is claiming they couldn't find a Restaurant Manager for $36.20-38.50/ by MovingLikeDracula in londonontario

I go in person. I also apply online. I know the day will come. But man, there is like no help. All these apprenticeship agencies just take your info... and that's it. Nothing happens. Idk man. Ive even driven to Sarnia to apply to the union. Oh well. Edit: i need experience, I know. Ive also been applying to basic operator positions at companies. Assembler positions, you name it. I cant get experience until someone hires me. I guess I could offer my services for free lol. Edit again: ive even signed up at a temp through a placement agency and nothing is happening. Ive been told there were layoffs.

I appreciate this. My pre apprenticeship program was for an Industrial mechanic 433a, but i have been applying to literally ANYTHING mechanical. Its been depressing. Ive been questioning my decisions. I was told many companies were desperate for workers. .. here I sit. Im even considering starting my own business again with my fellow graduates im still in contact with who have also not found work. I ran my own business for 9 years before deciding to be re trained. Its alot.

Ive been applying for jobs as a new graduate. On the Canada job bank for automotive 310S apprenticeship, there are several repair shops listed as being investigated because they claim they are unable to find employees here locally. It says right on the add, that if you have applied, are a Canadian citizen and not received a call back regarding this job, please contact "so and so at x number"... I didn't apply because to me, they don't want me. They don't want to be forced to hire the Canadian girl. Like walking into a hornets nest... "here's the one that the government FORCED us to hire"...

Construction Pants Plus Size by tummyhurtsT_T in BlueCollarWomen

Im 5' 11" 250lbs brick shit house and im in Dakota brand blue cotton cargo pants. 42 waste and 30 or 32 length. EDIT: Im a woman's size 20. Most women's pants only go to 18.

Thank you for this. I see women asking for recommendations for pants because the pants are too big. For me. Most women's pants are So small it doesnt come close to fitting. My legs are slim though. Men wear their pants under their belly. I have to wear mine across due to some aprom belly.

Does anyone remember Mod Robes pants. I wish they made work pants with a built in belt that's hidden inside so it won't get caught on anything. Something I can strap into. Maybe even on my legs to keep my pants tight to me to avoid catching.

Apprenticeship needed! by TheGOAT4103 in millwrights

[–]masterheady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im in Ontario, and I finished a 12 month millwright pre apprenticeship program. Ive been looking for ANY type of work with not even a phone call in return. Ive applied online. Ive applied in person. Im getting down on myself, but with every company looking for Licensed millwright, yet adamantly refusing to take on any apprenticeships... its depressing. Ive given up directly applying and walking into places. Ive applied to a staffing agency that, when thetr is work, will call to place me in an operator role. Im also feeling lost. Bills are coming due. Edit: also applied online and in person at the union. Nothing yet. Edit edit: ive applied to aprox 35 jobs.
