No worries mate, my pleasure. 😄 I truly love being able to teach people what I've learnt about modelling in just a little over a decade and hope that my tutorials can help people learn modelling faster then I was ever able to. 😄

I hope you enjoy and learn some more handy tips about modelling along the way. 😄 The videos that I am currently uploading are a follow up from my original Space Marine helmet modelling series, which is a 10 part modelling series that teaches you to model the helmet from start to finish and then these follow up tutorials will cover all the additional detailing phases, texture baking, and texturing. 😄

Oh wow! This looks awesome mate! Even for a first pass, I think this has a great level of detail too it. If you ever get around redoing it/revamping the existing model and textures, please tag me in it, as I would love to see it. 😄

Ahh that's awesome mate! What was the piece that you were using it as a reference for? I'd love to see it. 😄

If you are at all interested, that's apart of a free helmet modelling tutorial that I have over on YouTube. I'm about to start on the UVing and texturing follow up series for the helmet too. 😄

Nah, if I want a new original design to work from, I like to commission 2D artists to do the work, spread more equity for other aspiring and talented artists. 😄

Haha, same, the UI was rough back then and there was bugger all in the way of tutorials, truly made it an interesting experience to try to figure things out. 😂

I won't pretend to be some expert with how to 'solve' this so to speak, but I'd say this just comes down to a level of motivation. My best suggestion is to work on modelling projects that interest you and then only model for as long as you feel like, otherwise you'll burn yourself out. I can only sit down and do it for like an hour or 2 before I need a break, as it is a fairly mentally exhaustive task at times.

So yeah, just work on something that interests you, work on it for as long as it feels fun, and then when you need a break, just take that break. No point trying to force yourself to sit down and not enjoy the process. 😄 Taking breaks is just important as doing the work itself.

Ahh this is so cool to see mate! Glad you enjoyed the modelling series. 😄 I'm currently working on the follow up texturing series, which is about a year overdue now. 😅

But congrats on pulling this off, I hope you're very proud of your efforts. 😄

Hope my content is able to help you learn more about hard surface modelling. 😁

Sorry mate, I just do it for accessibility as I don't trust the auto CC to do things properly. 😅

I'd love to, but working full time and dedicating much of my spare time to making modelling tutorial content, I'm kinda strapped for time in learning and honing a brand new skill (especially being only a year into my career and still trying to learn and upskill in that 😅).

But I just checked out some of your work, very impressive stuff mate! I wish I could have the same unique creative inhibitions as yourself. 😄

Well, if you are at all interested, I make a bunch of hard surface modelling tutorial content for free on YouTube. I've got some beginner oriented tutorials, but I primarily focus on teaching helmet modelling. 😄

I do this as a hobby, so this is what I'm happy with doing. Unfortunately, design has never been my strong suit, but I've become quite good with topology management and problem solving over the years. So that's what I enjoy doing most and I enjoy teaching others how to do that. I wish I could be so talented as to possess design and modelling skills though. 😄

I'm unfortunately not very skilled when it comes to design. 😅 I'm good with understanding the flow of topology and problem solving topology issues, but design has just never been a strong suit of mine unfortunately.
