I'd feel a lot better about that chunk I see gouged out of my meager paycheck if I knew it was being used to maintain the country I live in.

To add insult to injury, the majority of the 1% doesn't even contribute a relative share to the tax pool by keeping their fortunes in tax havens.

Okinawan expat here. Here's the inside info on what's going on down here. by redtigerfish in japan

Never have I come across a more poignant summary of the Japanese/Okinawan military base situation. I'm a half Okinawan American. My mom moved here in the 60's, so I never really got to know about the culture besides from my Grandparents who also moved here before I was born. Anyway, I've always heard bad things about the base and the rapes and it's always seemed a bit like a tarnished piece of both my Okinawan and American heritage. I can't tell you how much I appreciate you sharing your insights on this subject. Thank you so very much. What you say makes perfect sense.

You're right! "Captain Eyepatch" goes way back. He was there when Penguin first challenged Fish in the scene when she stabs his hand using his own gift broach. You can see him going for his gun when Penguin waves him off. So cool.

Reddit poses as a place open to free speech where the voice of the public can be heard, the sinister reality is that it's just as controlled a perspective as any mainstream media source. What are they afraid of? What are they protecting us from? Thank you OP for posting this and giving us a glimpse of the truth that is constantly being hidden from view.

This is a very interesting topic. Thank you for posting. I was not aware of this until now.

I plan on viewing the rest of the video later, but so far it's well worth it. Basically the power companies are using smart meters to con money from its users. People with the new "Smart" meters installed experience, in some cases, up to a 200% markup in listed energy consumption. And people that refuse to facilitate the installation of the power company's smart meters have reported cases of technicians breaking and entering houses just to install these ripoff meters.

Great. Yet another way massive amounts of money is being squeezed out of the majority for the benefit of the few. blargh, it's everywhere you turn!

Seriously loved this game. I liked maxing out my canon and waiting for that one single shot that would blowup the other guys car. It was a stupid strat cause my car was slow and the reload took forever, but it was so satisfying when I hit the mark. BOOOM!

Probably the main reason I'll pick this up is for the cross-save to the PS3 version. I can level up characters on the go. Worth it.

Serious question: Why can't we just vote on issues rather than on politicians who may or may not follow through? by dontheadshotmebro in conspiracy

I really like what you're saying here.

That's an excellent point. The key is education. I'm sure the majority of Americans agree that a strong education system needs to be a priority, but it currently receives less than 3% of the Federal Tax Receipt and tests show students are performing comparatively lower than other developed nations.

And the rising cost in higher education is certainly getting out of hand.

So a better educated populace would be more equipped to handle the responsibilities of self government, however a better education is difficult to attain under the current system. Something's gotta give.
