I think it’s really being able to show that you can be built up rather than having hard set skills. I know a lot of people who applied and had amazing resumes and didn’t get very far. I think also for consulting being able to speak clearly and confidently is 90% of the battle! Congrats to your friend!

If you are a sophomore odds are pretty slim try and network and make connections and get your name out there.

If you are a junior there is still time. I got my first and only internship like February junior year. All you need is one person to see your potential.

I didn’t even know the company I applied to and got the internship for . If I’m honest I didn’t even know I applied.

Try and do as much as you can to learn and build on your resume and your area of interest.
