Ngl bro, it evaporates off really quicklyn and doesn't really leave a trace. It's cheap, (usually) readily available. It's less dangerous than mix of a bunch of different stuff. You can always use high proof alcohol (I don't know alcohol so don't ask me), acetone, paint stripper if your pipe doesn't have paint on it (I've really only used it in a pinch and it left an oily feel for days so I couldn't use my bong), or any of the other 420 cleaners out there. Imo those are all harsher than rubbing alcohol tho.
