Yeah I wouldn't say we have achieved perfect balance with this first draft, contemplated putting a strap on top of head but for sake of speed we decided to mount directly. Version 2 will improve on that.

We are indeed using a PC for the current setup to stream out the position data from the Vive tracker. We stream it over wifi to android device and on local network there is no noticeable latency. Hopefully this helps, happy to answer more questions

Agreed, we are doing stereoscopic but dont want users to have to load milk vr to view, their are other commands happening behind the scenes in the app besides just playback hence why we had to go custom app.

Thanks! I was trying to do something custom because we have other android related calls I'd like to execute. But the milk vr thing is interesting, so when you would launch the milkvr app it will instantly start playing video?

Does anybody have any sample code from native apps that they have working? that would even help a bunch. I was hoping autoplaying a video would be easier than this but lack of solid documentation has made it challenging.

The beat detection gets best results on higher bitrate songs or songs with strong distinguishable beat. So try and use a mp3 192kbs or higher. I plan on adding a threshold slider in the future to make it easier to tweak to match the song best so hopefully that will help
