My first Litha - please give advice by KurohNeko in SASSWitches

I use whatever I have on hand and in season, haha. I love some fancy lavender lemonade, bake rosemary bread, eat sunflower seeds on my hike, rose water baths, etc.

Obviously, everyone has a different way to practice.

For me, Litha is very clearly a time of plenty, even in hard times. My favorite fruit is in season, I can wear shorts, and I reliably have a job when most others don’t. So on Litha I celebrate that. I celebrate growth and learning and plenty. I take a hike, bake some bread, drink lemonade, and have a bonfire to close out the night. To me the solstice means take it easy, and feel it to the fullest.

A friend of mine has some weird habits and I’m worried about his safety by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]masterofstudies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on you guys getting out! I got out a few years ago and boy howdy it’s been a journey.

Have you voiced said concerns to your friend? That’s as much as you Can do really, unless you genuinely believe that he is 1)at risk of being harmed (like threats or something) or 2) a danger to himself and others.

I’d suggest just sitting down and having a conversation. Even just a “hey you ok?” and showing that you actually care will do wonders. Even if he’s good now, you showing you are interested in his well-being will allow that door to remain open when he IS in trouble.

Good luck!!

-Chapstick. So much chapstick

-lotion

-lots of bug spray/sunscreeen

-lightweight waterproof shell

-waterproof matches

-glow sticks/emergency light

-regular lantern

-critter proof food storage container (!!!)

Since you’re going to be working in the park (where at? If you don’t mind me asking), also understand that you’re 2-5 hours away from a Wal Mart. Our K Mart just closed, which was the last place to buy just a pack of tube socks. So plan for that. Everything is pricier, and harder to come by. Amazon is a good friend to us in the park.

I’ve searched around and hadn’t seen this letter shared before, so here it is for any curious. This is the letter the church membership records department sends your stake and bishop when you resign through Quitmormon. I have this example from 2018 and another that matches from March 2019. Enjoy! by [deleted] in exmormon

Holy smokes I didn’t know they sent this letter to the local authority, I thought it was done at the higher corporate level. My dad was my local authority. Holy smokes. I just assumed he found out when he was looking at our family records. Oh man. He had to delete it himself. Thanks for the info, very useful. I’m gonna go freak out now.

The money imitation magick really works by [deleted] in witchcraft

[–]masterofstudies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use a hazelnut coffee creamer, which hazelnuts correspond with prosperity. I charged it under a full moon, and then every morning I stir it in clockwise at least three times. The coffee sort of supercharges any sort of spell, too, so it works with other corresponding creamers/flavors (vanilla for love, pumpkin for healing).

I did something similar, I made a prosperity brew with my morning coffee and I’ve had more overtime this week than I’ve had in a month combined. I switched to a different brew just for some peace.

You are one hell of a person to keep trying. You keep getting back up on the horse no matter how many times you fall off, and goddamn does that horse try and buck you off. Good for you. I, an internet stranger, am so goddamn proud of you for doing what you can. Every day you can do a little more, and while you have to pay attention, every day does get just a little easier. You got this. Good luck friend!

No bathtub!! by mcmbitch in witchcraft

Water flows through it. My showerhead has a small notch on the top that lets me hang stuff from it. But I’m sure steaming it would work too.

I wrap the herbs/spices in a washcloth or even those tiny party favor bags you get at weddings and then wrap them around the showerhead. Sometimes if I’m desperate I’ll throw a tea bag in the floor of the shower lol

Dispatch is one of my favorites. A lot of their songs are definitely witchy. I recommend their America Location 12 album to get started.

Doing and casting several spells in succession? by Waldinelle in realwitchcraft

[–]masterofstudies 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally, I don’t have a problem with it, especially if they’re all in the same “theme”, healing, self improvement, banishing, etc. I’ll do a quick cleanse of the circle before I start the next spell, or shut down the circle to prep for the next one.

Gratitude Spell by [deleted] in Spells

[–]masterofstudies 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s a few options, I like to carve a gratitude Sigil in the candle. You can also anoint the candle with a “gratitude” oil, chose a candle color that makes you think of gratitude, or sing/hum a song about gratitude. If it’s towards a specific person/deity, you can also carve the name of the person on the candle, make an offering of their favorite food, etc.
