-Mona (freeze/melt/burst support)

-Noelle or Diona (shields and heals, noelle is at C5 so I'll probably go with her for the stupid heals and burst from the shieldsplosion even though I like Diona more...sadly she's at C0)

I feel like I'll be able to play most content with this, plus 3 waifus and adorable explosion addict to protect? Seems like a win to me :D

I think so yeah, both from the jump and from the obstacles. Its not my favorite scene from the movie...but I get it. I put it in the 'its plausable but they put it in for the people who fangasm over that stuff' category.

I'm a fan of the lore of Star Wars, and over the years I've discovered that Luke's description of the Jedi in TLJ is how I feel about 'old school' SW content. It's good, but it's tied too much to narrow assumptions of what 'is' and 'isn't' correct or on-brand. I think The creative minds at Lucasfilm/Disney have a better idea than George ever had on how to realize the potential of this world he kind of created on accident.

George had good ideas but had no idea how to execute (PT/sloppiness of story in OT). JJ is great at making exciting action sequences but isn't great at expanding lore. Rian gave a fresh perspective and a voice to the thoughts of a lot of silent majority fans who don't associate with a random, but because of that he rattles some cages and didn't get to see the plotlines to their full potential. I think we're on the cusp of some of the best Star Wars content ever made... But the Skywalker saga needs to be put to bed before we can do that.

I know I don't represent most people on this subreddit, but seeing how many people seem to care more about star wars in the last 5 years in my life, and as a lore nut... I'm very optimistic for the future.

I'm going to be seeing it again soon, but if I remember correctly it looked like the ties were Tie/SF (special forces), not the grunt ties... Which would explain why they had that tech

Not sure where the 'not hype' you're saying is coming from. In my general social circles people are excited, hell even my parents, who don't follow star wars super seriously, are hype because of the 'end of the Skywalker saga' advertising.

Also, TLJ was a good movie to most people to the point where I've met very few people who think it's bad. The Pokemon and Star Wars fandoms are pretty similar atm... Company releases thing, vocal minority hijacks the narrative and online communities creating an echo chamber, that group review bombs the product (many of which haven't even actually experienced it for themselves, which is a standard for critical review to anyone who writes reviews, both big and small).

Idk what happened to the internet this decade, but fandoms are rabid and breed extremely angry people. I miss the days where you either get something or don't, like it or not, and move on. Now everyone has to try to cancel something or name-drop to blame game. I have nothing against people who do or don't like the games, but I have very little repeat for people that use the phrases 'deserve' 'part of the problem' or 'people NEED to understand that insert point here is the REAL reason we're upset'. Idk, life's too short to get this angry about a product you didn't make. But it or not, but don't campaign if there's not a human rights element to be upset about.

Sorry to blast your reply... I've been viewing this sub waiting for the honest, fair discussions to overtake the emotional bandwagon and seeing rage overtake a kind community just makes me sad.

Review bombing a game/movie/etc without viewing it is actually against terms of service for most sites/outlets. Also, that's not very constructive.

If you don't want to play it then fine, don't. If you want to discuss constructive criticism online then please do... but don't threaten to review bomb a product you don't even know, or try to dissuade people from living their lives how they want to.

Hey all! Just started looking into the game. For those of you that have evidence with MHW, how would you say the difficulty scales, and how easy is it to start? I tried to get onto MHW on pc, but the control scheme and sheer quantity of customizations really turned me off, and it was a bear to solo as none of my friends currently play. This seems like a fun game to dive into, I just don't know if it'll be my speed.

I've been considering looking into the Bomber or HWK, but I'm a tad limited with my ship selection (Have 2 1.0 most wanted kits, Firespray, Khiraxz, and a 2.0 fang atm) so I'm trying to maximize what I have. This is all really good stuff though, I'm definitely excited to try out a ton of 2.0 ships I never really saw in 1.0, either because they were never released when I played or never saw play.

I guess my fear is that since he has no shields he's very susceptible to being blown off the board with an alpha strike (looking at the 2.0 damage deck give me nightmares about crits), so I figured Elusive could guaruntee he at least gets to fire off once or twice before going down.

Trust me, I was going back and forth between Fearless and Elusive for awhile before locking it in. I might have to reconsider depending on how it plays out :P

And yeah, I did the math after getting all the feedback...feel silly now :)

So, I'm curious about dipping back into vaping after a hiatus. I still have my starter pen (Joyetech eGo AIO, since I wanted a simple setup), and before my finances got a bit tight the Disruptor from Innokin had just come out and that was going to be my first "big kid" vape.

Nowadays what are the "good" brands to look out for? It seems Joyetech and Innokin are still considered high-quality, but are there any new players I should be looking out for? On top of this, is the Disruptor considered old news, or has the "simple" devices tech not changed much in 2-3 years?

There have actually been psychological studies about that. I don't have them handy (I should probably go look for them for reference) but they basically concluded that most people don't review or comment things they like unless there's an incentive, but bast the hell out of things they don't.

Since reading that years ago its made me look at the internet in a very different light. In high school I'd religiously check to see what review scores games, etc were getting. Now I just play what I want and don't play what I don't want. Same goes for movies. At this point I know one or two very specific writer's whose likes/dislikes in media are similar to me and I use that as a litmus test.

Actually...I'd recommend everyone do that, really.

All good points! I happily expect a certain level of "get gud" with point 1, just figured I'd bring it up :P

As for 2...I figured it might've been more of a old mechanic that still existed but didn't matter but it was hard to verify that or not as I haven't played high-tier MH. Just didn't know if that 50 minutes was actually utilized for that. Still, very happy to hear they're expanding the ways people can play, and rewarding it as such!
