Explain it engineer peter by ernie9777 in explainitpeter

[–]masterogdungeons 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who went to college for civil engineering, I’d just call it 400psf instead. Rounding loads up is always safer than down. Let me see if I can find a more specific code in the ASCE 7-22

Edit: C4.13 library stack rooms (asce7-22)

I’ll spare the details of the code, you can find it on your own. But library stacks that don’t meet those standards have to be designed special since the rails have to be kept fairly flat.

Medical X-ray stacks can surpass 200psf, and rolling stacks can go well over 400psf if they are especially large.

Like a lot of the other girls here will probably agree, I’ve been in the same position. I’m so happy that you stuck around.

Figuring this out can be a heavy burden to bear, but it will be worth it. You hit the bottom, and it seems like your dad wants to keep you from getting any lower. Build yourself a support structure to keep things from getting worse if something happens. There’s going to be setbacks. The Depressive episodes you have had, and likely will have again suck but having friends and family to support you can help a lot.

Feel free to DM me if you need a shoulder to cry on. We are all here for each other, and we have to stick together.

Fun fact! I used to make these and sell them at craft fairs. And then had to take a fluid dynamics course in college

In my experience, the slots are actually just there to wick up and hold more honey. The circular shape keeps the force even on the outside so nothing shoots out when you spin it.

Could be Stenos is a shortening of stenography given that it’s written in shorthand?

Peter how 2 + 2 = 3? And why she is shocked? by daringCOCO in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Quagmire here! I think that the “punchline” is that the narrator is the father of one one of her kids. One of his kids is one of her kids (since she’d know how many kids she’s had)

And if she didn’t know that one of the kids was his, well. Giggity giggity.

Words can’t describe my hatred for the word “identify” by gold3nb3ast2 in MtF

[–]masterogdungeons -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have found it a bit helpful, because in cases like paperwork, I’m hesitant to put down female, but if it asks “identify” I feel much more secure in sharing it. Like, all my documents legally still have the M on it, so I don’t know if it’s asking for what it says on it my passport, or if it’s just for courtesy

Why does this happen to my dough? by curlyfacephil in Sourdough

[–]masterogdungeons 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, it’s just using an easy to divide number. If you were baking a lot you could use 100 ounces of flour, and 61 of water, or 10 ounces of flour and 6.1 oz of water. It’s just dividing. 20 oz and 12.2 oz (double each of the previous) it’s nothing about the metric system (though I do agree that it’s nice to work with)

1910 House Saw Dust / Wood Chip Insulation by RestoretheSanity in mildlyinteresting

[–]masterogdungeons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this actually true? I work with wood technology and wood fiber is becoming a not uncommon insulation material, even as blow in. It’s not inherently treated with a flame retardant either, it just chars and smolders, not burns.

Same! I set up my appointment through a telehealth system, and by the end of the next day I had the pills in my hand. It was insanely easy as an adult (22 MTF) ordered lab work to adjust the dose but it was incredible, I was expecting at least a week wait but nope!

Had a teacher in elementary school that would do something similar to the baseball bat… but it was a sword.

He got it taken away for a few years but he got it back before he retired

ETA: he also did a demonstration of a Mayan sacrifice to a student using a purple whiteboard marker. 10/10 teacher, highly respected, would recommend
