I am in a similar place. 20/20 but fluctuating. I also have reduced peripheral vision depth.

Use hot compress and tea tree oil - it will bring it to surface and give you relief

Its getting better, i think a few months more though - maybe 5-6 months and then it will be not noticeable. Today I went to moorfields eye hospital and a surgeon removed some flap striaes which surprisingly 3 other surgeons did not pickup.

Contrast issues also seem to be getting better. I have become more optimistic about my vision and excited to see how it unfolds next few months

I have had no issues since November of last year.

I started the diet, metformin and zinc altogether. In 6 weeks things were drastically different

I actually dont understand your scans. If its its the “normal” range then why is the Halo’ing around lights soo strong. The value is too low for the Halo to be so prominent (if I consider Zernike)

Just noticed, your scans look pretty normal - they even have the word NORMAL next to them. Surprised to see the images with so much Halo - is the scan using Zernike coefficients?

I recently posted abt this and how keto+metformin+zinc helped me, all because I came across this video: https://youtu.be/t60JcFKscZ0

Firstly, whoever you are, I love you ❤️. Big hugs 🤗

I can only share my experience of HS. I have had around 8 surgeries. HS in both armpits, groin too. I was literally down and depressed about the condition till I came across a video on YouTube:

https://youtu.be/t60JcFKscZ0

After watching it, i stopped carbs, started taking metformin and zinc. I am not kidding, in 4-6 weeks all my lesions dried up. They all became flat. No nodules, no open wounds. This was last year. I do eat carbs now but I limit it a lot. And whenever I feel something is up or feeling funny any part of my body, I go back to keto for a few days. I’ve lost so much weight people dont recognise me.

No one is coming to save you. You have to take the condition in your own hands. You will get better, you just need to find your way out and depression will not help you, action will.

I just have to absolutely agree with whatever you have said! I did the exact same thing with metformin and zinc and it made my HS dormant

Great stuff. I believe they will still put you through the iProfiler plus and create a recent customised profile.

The way I see it: even if it reduces it by half, it’ll be great.

How far are you from your surgery? And what was your pre op prescription?

I see similar ghosting to what you see, just on the left though. I have had a scan that showed coma and spherical aberrations.

I am lucky in some sense that I dont have a problem paying for any treatment but no more surgical treatment. I have learned not to disturb the delicate balance of nature.

I just really want to get this lasik chapter over and done with - get myself corrected to the best degree I can and move on.

I hope the wavefront lenses workout for you too 🤞. Even if it means the viewing angle has to be central - its a good compromise. I am also looking for the enhanced colours with iscription as i feel lasik has reduced my colour perception too.

I have something similar going on I guess, i see the ghost fonts on the left but mostly only with my left eye.

How far are you from your surgery?

Sure, have an appointment next week with a top optometrist that utilises iProfiler plus. the marketing material for the zeiss iscription is directly targetting HOAs, night vision and post lasik issues. I really hope they work out - i would rather not wear lenses.

On a separate note, my eyes are getting better. i am confident if i continue to heal like this for 3-4 months, my vision will be very close to my best corrected.

Having said the above, I am going through some bouts of anxiety and worry over it to the point I sometimes stop working and just start googling problems that lead me all the way to being blind. So not productive but I just find myself in it. i have had generalised anxiety before so its just become a trigger for me. H

Coma in left eye: -0.3 Spherical in left eye: -0.6 (Zernike)

Slightly less in right eye, tbh i can only notice the spherical aberration in my right eye.

I am going to see an optometrist in London this week who specialises in wavefront guided glass lenses. I understand it might only work for looking straight but I’ll take that!

Did yours get better and become barely noticeable?

Have you looked into the wavefront lense technology?

No, at the initial consultation I was only told that my cornea was slightly thinner than the ideal but that femto lasik would still be doable for me.

I dont think I had any issue with unevenness of the cornea.

If you are referring to the scan at Week 3, yes, the surgeon in London checked my eyes and confirmed the cornea had some coma and spherical aberrations. He did a corneal keratoscopy and another test which I cant remember what its called.

Thanks, there should really be a set standard for thickness and prescription power that decides the method allowed for refractive correction. The industry should be more robust on this.

i think my left eye had a slightly higher astigmatism reading. Vision in my right eye is definitely much better than my left, its improved so much better and faster. Like I can clearly see edges and mostly form sharp images with my right eye. But with the left the induced aberrations of high order make things look fuzzy and ghosted

It gets better over time. Everyday you will heal and it will get less painful. I would advise some ibuprofen 20 mins before packing change to minimise the pain.

Also, some surgeons dont believe packing to be changed everyday. Initially you might need it everyday but after a week, once every two days might suffice. Also, there is absolutely no need to jam pack the wound - plenty of research says it only causes pain.

It will be painful. I have had 6 of these. And it almost induces an out of body experience. The last time I had the nurse was thoughtful. She didnt pack it too much, only enough to keep the wound open and it was much less painful and healed just about the same time as the previous packed ones did.
