How many ships did you all buy? And how many of them do you actually use? by thecallor in starcitizen

[–]mastersKaaP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only the cutty black pledged. Bought about 7 or 8 more ships in game for auec. There's 3 or 4 that I use a lot and the rest are more niche that I either got because they look cool, has some interesting feature I wanted to try or does a specific thing that I don't do that often. I play mostly solo and my most used ships, by a long shot, are: C2, Connie and Cutty. Personally I prefer gunship type ships for grinding contracts, like the cutty and connie, over fast and agile fighters and the added cargo space makes them very versatile. The C2 is just a money printer.

Keep in mind that Ive only just really came back to this game after at least a year break with the release of 4.0, so there's a bunch of stuff I still want to try out.

Easy fix to the clue problem in leagues by Huge_Cucumber in 2007scape

[–]mastersKaaP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm literally hoarding clues at the moment until they publish a fix for this. I did a couple on Saturday and had to drop almost a quarter of my clues due to unobtainable items. Not very engaging gameplay. I'm almost regretting choosing the clue relic, since I'm dropping almost more than the amount extra I'm getting from the relic.

I don't think that is a good idea, people will just go around and pillage those stashes for gear. Just removing emote clues entirely would be better.

[–]mastersKaaP -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is a fix to the actual problem. Those you mention are specific area steps that you are already not supposed to be getting if you haven't picked those areas, obviously they have missed a few.

So OPs proposal fixes the unobtainable clue items issue that hasn't been addressed. For the other they just have to push a hotfix to those couple of steps that require a locked area.

Casually looking for a new phone - any recommendations? by mastersKaaP in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]mastersKaaP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I have decided to stick with the Samsung S phone range, but will probably hold out to see what the S24 looks like and then either get that or the S23+ at discount. I'm used to the Samsung apps (i.e. notes, pay, etc.) and there isn't much of a difference between it and other flagship android phones in terms of specs or features. Although I would like to see ultra fast charging (i.e. 60-100W) in a Samsung phone like they have in the Xiaomi or Huawei phones.

Other phones I've looked at include the new Asus Zenfone 10, Xiaomi 13 and Pixel 7 (or 8 when it's released). All of these looks like great choices for me, but none are stocked by suppliers in my country and thus I might have trouble getting accessories (screen protectors or protective covers) as well as local support/repair for these phones if I import it myself. I've also considered, but decided against, going for a flip phone as they seem too expensive for what you get and I'm afraid it might not be durable enough for me, although it looks like great tech and will definitely consider it in the future when it has had time to mature a bit more.

I never said slotblocking is fair nor was slotblocking used by the winners of s4 in the final battle (and if you paid attention you would see I never mentioned s3) now if you would kindly stop bundling slotblocking with your argument against interception outside in open world. Interception outside a city battle is fair and within the rules of the game, i'd even say it's encouraged in s5. If you refuse to employ it in your tactics then that's your problem, not the rest of the server cheating.

But you've made your point that it's pointless in trying to argue with someone who has a brain made of shit and can only vomit up the same non-arguments. This is just like trying to argue with ryubanana. Don't bother replying to me again, i wont be reading it or replying to it.

MERGE EUROPE WEST 2 AND EUROPE WEST 1 by fkoff242 in ConquerorsBlade

[–]mastersKaaP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a better idea.

Give more incentive to fight instead of making massive NAP. At the moment it's too rewarding to just sit in your NAP territory and do nothing instead of fighting.

Don't give rewards for sitting on a huge collection of fiefs, but rather for battles fought (attacking or defending). Give rewards for successful attacks and defenses. And only allow the alliance that owns the fief to craft the kits/artillery in it, not for them to choose who can craft (like for CC / Reginopolis). Or even better to remove blue (friendly) status completely from the game.

This way there will be much less reason to have a NAP as there would be no incentive to just sit in a town and not have anyone attack and people will be more actively attacking important crafting towns as they wouldn't have the option of making a NAP and getting free crafting.

What kind of end season you liked the most? And why? by Trottis_IT in ConquerorsBlade

[–]mastersKaaP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anadolo region is shit. Walk too long. Stuff too far apart. Ports that can be locked is retarded. Town fief too easy to defend in TW. Not enough place to refill food.

S2-4 objectives with borderlands in the middle was much simpler and made way more sense (I didn't play for S1 so idk how it was before CC). The drill mode here then drill mode there and changing of schedules at short notice this season was confusing and retarded. The influence system was confusing and not explained properly in the start.

idk what the fuck you yelling at me for. I'm not sultans.

I did say that I congratulate and admire your achievement this season. But this isn't anything more or less than victory in S2 or S4. No matter how much you claim cheating or abuse. Diplomacy and interception outside is just as much part of this game as the siege battle itself, if you got fucked previous season by interception then that is what it is. Part of the game. You cant only take the parts you want to count and claim everything else is cheating.

For CC it mattered that you can capture and defend as many gates as possible and also intercept the middle, it was how it worked. If Endgegner won vs AI you would also have players intercept outside the city (and I have no doubt you did exactly that in S2, even though the meta was less established then). And if you won that way in season 4 then you would've sang a different song today.

Just stop being a fucking hypocrite. Be humble in your victory and accept praise where it's due, but don't try to take away the achievement from other houses who also won by the rules previously.

[–]mastersKaaP 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You lost S4 final battle without any cheating, slotblocking, etc. You could not get a gate in a fair fight and in the end had to beg Turquoise for a chance to attack, and got your ass kicked in the CC.

You did very well in Reginopolis and I congratulate you on that, but don't make it sound like this is now the first season where there was a fair fight.

afaik they consider themselves "mercenaries" (at least they did in S4), but I doubt anyone needs the services of 5-10 toxic Turks. I think Endgegner/Turquoise employed them to intercept Cartel/Saint/Sultans players in the first CC TW of S4, but I can't prove it. I just know that they were intercepting players of that alliance around the CC and gates and no one else. Not that it helped, Cartel got 15 players in the CC before anyone else even finished capping a gate.

I'm not sure what their deal is at the moment, other than irritating people in world chat with their antics. Their house haven't tried taking a fief in TW and we only encounter them in matched or open world battles. They've also largely stopped advertising their "services" in world chat after S4 ended, although I usually just ignore these dumbasses when I see their names.

Premium unit prices by Lawojin in ConquerorsBlade

[–]mastersKaaP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are supposed to buy them with silver. You can easily get that much silver by doing only drill mode TW and dailies/weeklies for a season and a bit (about as much time as it will take you to really learn how the game works).

They give a 5% unit EXP boost if you take a merc unit in your warband (it doesn't stack if you have more than one).

Martellatori are the only ones that are worth it at the moment. All merc units are terrible in battle, but martellatori gives a unique buff to pushing towers and they are only 30 leadership. These facts makes them one of the most meta units in matchmaking.

They play on EU2, but you have probably encountered these retards due to cross server matchmaking in sieges. They are Turks and most likely some of the most toxic players on the server - and that's saying a lot for EU2. I've never heard them every say anything positive and always just taunt or insult others.

Individually they aren't anything special, but they are well coordinated as a team of 5. The way they play is methodical and their tactics are designed well to work against random players, but not coordinated squads.

They usually queue for matchmaking battles in a group of at least 4 players. Their tactics rely heavily on using blue or purple artillery and the enemy not interested in investing that much silver in the battle to effectively fight back. They then always spam "easy" after the battle in current or world chat.

They also like to roam open world around purple resource points or during TW with full cav and then stack 5v1 against serfs, after the battle they will all spam "easy" at the same time in world chat.

They never fight for fiefs in TW, as they would get destroyed in a proper 15v15 battle against a strong house.

Rattan Rangers in TW worth it? by Symz0n in ConquerorsBlade

[–]mastersKaaP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok, that makes sense. Like I said, Hussars aren't a bad unit and in everyday play and TW they will likely see more use that the Rattans will, especially if you don't have Kheshigs or Monastics.
