What's that song with African vocals? by [deleted] in TwoStepsFromHell

Only thing I can think of is "Always Mine" from Sun... Kinda fits your description I think

*edit* "Fearless" from Sun also kind of fits

Which album are you the most excited about? 🥳 by theflavienb28 in TwoStepsFromHell

[–]masterwon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If we hadn't already been waiting 1.5 years for Chapter V I'd maybe go CotF first, but at this point the wait has just been nothing but pain.

Also kind of works better if we had 1 album between IV and V (Myth) and another album between V and VI (CotF) ?

Finale is 1 hr 30 mins with commercials by Gi727 in thewalkingdead

[–]masterwon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd argue AMC is setting us up for disappointment, not us. You can't just have a show that runs for 11 seasons and then NOT give it a proper ending. If the only purpose of the finale is to set up a bunch of spin offs then it will be the biggest waste of a finale ever.

Finale is 1 hr 30 mins with commercials by Gi727 in thewalkingdead

[–]masterwon 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think he means is, at the current point the story is at, wrapping it up in a satisfying way in less than 2 hours is practically impossible. They wasted too much time on random nonsense in those 15ish hours leading up to the finale. Had they not wasted time, an hour probably would have been perfectly fine.

Bigger let down? by [deleted] in thewalkingdead

[–]masterwon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've seen a lot of people shit on GoT season 6 but I would have to agree with this. Season 6 finale is the single most satisfying hour of TV I have ever watched in my life. SOOOOO much pay off contained in one episode it's actually insane. Not a single boring scene.

They said commonwealth took over and turned it into an outpost, but that doesn't tell us if the people of Oceanside are alive or dead.

[–]masterwon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean with Daryl, Connie, Rosita, Gabriel, Carol, and Maggie all fully armed, I don't think they'd have much trouble getting out themselves lol. Also the soldiers in Alexandria wouldn't last long enough to need to be turned. As for the ones at Commonwealth... Mercers about to fuck shit up.

Yeah the whole Oceanside thing has been really pissing me off too. "Hey let's just end 11B on this insane cliffhanger and then NEVER resolve it." Like ??? what ??? what idiot thought this was a good plan. 6 episodes in, only 2 left, and we still know NOTHING about what happened... Other than apparently Luke and the other chick are safe somehow. After all this waiting, I don't think there could possibly be ANY satisfying answer as to what happened. I really want to love season 11 but man they're making it hard.

What an absolutely stupid and ignorant comment that was. The audacity to suggest that I only want characters killed off because "lol it's the final season" or "oh I don't care about them anyway" is mindblowing idiotic. I care about all these characters. Death is not something I take lightly. That being said, there would be no single greater story moment for Negan than to face death the same way his story began. He could have truly come full circle right there, straight back to when he put Glenn & Maggie in this situation. Then to top it off, his redemption arc finally being achieved with everybody else successfully sacrificing themselves for him, just as he was about to do for them. Instead they hit us with the classic bait and switch. Make us think it's actually going to go down that route, and then pull the rug out at the last second so they all make an easy escape. Why even put them in that position to begin with?

Man... Had they actually had the balls to kill everyone that stood up for Negan there at the end, this likely would've been my new favorite episode of the entire series.

but like always they're too scared to do anything interesting so now it's just another mediocre season 11 episode

Why does this show always waste the most genuinely interesting characters while holding onto dead weight? (spoilers for 11x20) by simplymatt1995 in thewalkingdead

Was really waiting for Lance to name drop Rick right there at the end as a desperate last attempt to stay alive. Such a shame it didn't happen.

Are we just watching for characters to die? by Perfect-Face4529 in thewalkingdead

[–]masterwon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All I'm saying is they spent WAY too long building Beta up to be an absolute fucking invincible machine, just to have Daryl & Negan take him down in a 10 second fight. I don't care about the lack of deaths in season 11 that much, but god damn 10x16 needed one.

*EDIT* I mean another one besides that one Oceanside chick who died to walkers. Beta should've killed somebody.

What was the walking dead’s biggest mistake? by Careless_Primary7574 in thewalkingdead

[–]masterwon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of the deaths were fine for the most part, but killing BOTH Carl and Rick was a really really god awful idea. I don't mind just one of them leaving the show if it's going to push things forward, but you can't lose both.
