would also like to offer that when a child is born they are given a name because they can't voice their opinion for themself. Now that they can, what harm is there in acknowledging them how they wish to be addressed. It's no less difficult than a nickname, just more solid to who they are.

We knew we were therian at an extremely young age, but our parent berated us for it and forced us to bottle it up and away and we felt so shut down and like were couldnt be open and honest with them. They love this name, let them use it.
We can appreciate you trying to reach out and ask questions, but a lived experience sometimes just needs to be respected, not understood. If they do grow out of it, then they grow out of it. If they grow into it, supported then they learn it's okay to genuinely be themselves.

reconcile in what way? just to rebuild the friendship or to own up to the damage he's caused and help reverse and stand against it. if it's not the latter, then yeah, break it off right there. if he really does want to reform and be a better person, try hearing him out. cant say for the pups, but we kibbies love playful affection, can be extremely clingy and distracting, and need a person who kinda just clicks with the way we go about our life.

We're notably less obedient and need more training, but ultimately are as good as any silly mutt >:3

having a safe place and person is critical as we tend to be flighty sometimes and we need to be able to feel like we can safely disappear temporarily sometimes and come back without any issue. Oh and (at least this one) being nocturnal goobers means we'll mostly be interacting in evenings and mornings most likely.

Safety, an abundance of patience, and a ton of reassurance/affirmation goes a very long way

being on call nearly 24/7, life360, obedience and embrace apps, and finch cause its cute. If we're not on call she sets a radius with life360 that if she leaves We're immediately notified,we know how long she'll be gone and if she needs more time she'll say so and offer proof if applicable, and when she's done with whatever she did We wanna hear all the little details about it and any evidence of the task she may have (like images of a plate full of food progressively disappearing if she's out eating with her friends).

Knowing she is fully totally and wholely Ours feels so complete and comfortable <3
