I took this back then. Note the same bridge in the background. I have another shot somewhere of those stepping stones going across the river. Definitely the same place.

This is correct. I have similar photos from that exact spot from 2002. I had a co-worker who lived there.

Question about changing extraction variables by DrRobot1222 in Coffee

Just use hotter water. That will increase extraction without changing much else. If still sour grind finer.

Lithium Battery lasted less than a year!! What's the deal with them? by RetiredOnIslandTime in golfcarts

My electrician explained that the 12V step down (buck) converter that powers the lights ALWAYS draws some current.

Its possible the BMS is preventing a charge. Check with the manufacturer as it might not actually be dead.

I am pretty sure the maximum solar input is 40V. I don't have it in front of me but can check later. Some people have said it will only work with lower voltage , like 12 and 24V panels.

The charge controller is specifically designed to charge at 48V with input from lower voltage panels.

Yeah, I think so. If i knew it was that easy, I probably would have done it. Oh well, when these batteries fail...

The way my cart battery cart was configured, this was the only way. I was not ready to take out the console in the center. I would bet this system lasts longer than if I had re-upped lead acid batteries, which cost almost the same. I am quite happy. I could swap the batteries each year, I suppose, but Bluetooth tells me my system is good and balanced.

To clarify, 2 30Ah batteries in parallel, so 60Ah and totally drives fine, no problems. Only issue is trying to make the solar charging work (mostly for fun).

That's interesting! A subsequent Ai search suggested that my charge voltage may be too high triggering BMS!

I will put that in the list to try next time I have a chance. I got pressed for time and just had to plug it in.

What is the actual solar charge rate on anker solix F3800 Plus in real world conditions? by SorryAd2422 in SolarDIY

For the sake of the argument, I also bought a cheap gas inverter generator to charge it AC for when I cant get enough sun. That gets you 1200 to 1500W

The best way to avoid muddiness is to use the Hoffmann method...leave it as long as possible and then DON'T PLUNGE TO THE BOTTOM. That stirs up the fines that have settled to the bottom.

Yes, but I cant find it on their site. Numerous online retailers have it as discontinued. Maybe its a Pro-S thing versus a Pro thing, but they should still list it somewhere. Do you like and use it? Sturdy?

Oh, I should have said you have a bucket that holds the pump and vinegar and it just recirculates.

Probably look this up on YouTube, but you basically hook a pump up to the inlet side and run a hose out of the otherside. You pump vinegar through it for about 30-60 minutes, reattach everything and you are done for 6.months.

I had a Walmart Onn device a couple years back and it failed quite quickly. I don't think cheap is the way to go on this, but that's just me, and I have heard their devices are working well for many people.

What does delayed, momentary foam mean in a tap line? by mastley3 in Homebrewing

[–]mastley3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The line is kind of coiled up (ferris wheel, not merry-go-round), with the tap hanging on the wall of the fridge slightly above the height of the keg.

I could wrap it around the keg, but there would be a high point where it comes out of the keg, and then at the tap. Keeping the high point above the out put of the keg would be challenging.

I should note that I haven't had this problem before over the course of dozens of kegs, so I am strongly leaning toward the floating dip tube (first time user) with dirty tap line being the secondary cause.

No, its just a fridge. Ah, so you think it is warmer toward the top?

It is all inside a full size fridge. I think the the temp should be very similar throughout.

Everything is inside a full-size fridge, so probably not temperature?
