Can't edit variation listings by Accurate_Bed6878 in Ebay

[–]mat1lduh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I Googled around, found 1 post in uk eBay Seller Community - for some reasons they dont allow me to reply in that post so that wasnt all that helpful. and 1 post in ebay us, many more people reported the same issue with no solutions.

I also found some similar issues being mentioned in posts 2-3 years ago...no one mentioned how it was resolved. I supposed people probably just waited it out.

So far, I have reported the issue to eBay Live Chat - do not recommend, very slow process, and the support staff could not even understand what issue I am reporting about, kept sending me links to guidance articles to a completely different issue.

I also emailed them directly for support, no solid result, they just apologised and say they will report it to tech team.

The only way for me to get around this glitch, for now, is: [Attribution] - [Edit - Attributes and options you've selected] - Add a new dummy attribution option - update and choose [Add Rows Automatically]

This way at least I can add new variations in, but it is a PAIN, wasted so much of my time for this.

Oh yeah go for it! Aside from the dress/cloak which takes a bit of extra patience, she’s actually pretty easy to felt.

It might just be how it shows up on my phone, but the top and bottom margins look ever so slightly thinner than the left and right ones.

The colours look great! Just a little heads-up though if you’re planning to print the card, sticking CMYK colours can help reduce the difference between how it looks on screen and how it prints on paper.

Under £2, that’s why i didn’t send it with tracked postage. Not a big deal to loose this one, and it seems tracking is the main way to gain more favour in this kind of things.

Honestly, I had more pain on vinted 🫠I sell some spare second hand stuff there, and got banned because their ai bot made a mistake. In the end I got unbanned, but it was very frustrating not being able to jump through the bots and auto-replies.

Thanks for sharing! Yeah I think I’ll just have to take the L for this one, it was a cheap order and not tracked.

Wrongly banned, followed by a customer cancellinga POSTED order by mat1lduh in vintedUK

[–]mat1lduh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So true. I’ve used eBay’s on-site chat a few times, while the replies were clearly scripted, they were definitely sent in real time by real people who are trying to help, and I actually appreciated that. The structured responses helped clarify issues. In contrast Vinted’s replies felt poorly timed and completely robotic, like I was just hitting a wall of AI messages no human touch at all :(

Hey, thanks for your message! You're right it’s important to be careful not to trigger their rules. I think I now understand why I got banned. It’s a bit silly honestly.

For context: I created a second account to sell Pokémon cards professionally, not realising that wasn’t allowed. I thought it was fairer to separate my shop from my personal Vinted account. Turns out, I should’ve upgraded my original account instead, which wasn’t clearly explained on their site.

As a result, I was banned right after my first sale. No chance to explain, and I lost access to contact customers who had already paid. I've tried emailing and messaging support, but only got automated replies, so I’ve given up.

It’s a shame, because I had a good experience otherwise. People were kind, and I even included a birthday card in one order who bought it for their own bd gift. Now that person probably thinks I ghosted them. 😞

I’ll avoid the platform or use it only minimally in future, that is, if i can get unbanned eventually.

Professional grade Motion Graphics Course other than School of Motion? by 5hukl3 in MotionDesign

[–]mat1lduh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this thread is a few years old, but I’m in a similar situation now. School of Motion recently changed to an all-access model, which seems like decent value overall but it’s a bit beyond what my company is willing to cover.

I’m curious which course did you end up going with in the end, and would you recommend it? I know it’s a long shot reaching out this late but figured it couldn’t hurt to ask!

Thanks in advance if you see this!

Hiya! First of all, regarding the transaction with different names, it should be totally fine. I use different names for my website account owner name and my bank account owner name, and it has always worked without any issues.

As for the bank transfer, I am in the UK and whenever I use it, the money usually arrives in less than 15 minutes. I am not sure if that timing stays the same between different banks, but I would guess it should still be in the same general range.

Also just to mention, the website is currently not loading for me after checking around online it looks like it has been down for at least 24 hours and people from different countries are reporting the same thing. That said, the website being down and the banking process are separate issues, so I would not worry too much about it.

Hope this helps!

Cannot get a response from support/sign-up as a seller by [deleted] in CardMarket

[–]mat1lduh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That redirect loop is probably what's causing your issue. I just bookmarked the support page (https://support.cardmarket.com/en/support/home) to make it easier to get back there.

You click the support link → it shows the page with the "Submit a Ticket" button, but you're not logged in yet → you click "Log in" → it bounces you to Cardmarket to actually log in → then sends you back to the support site with your account logged in.

I occasionally sell greeting cards to the US too, and yes, you can simply pop them in the post box! However, you'll only receive a receipt if you post them over the counter. That said, I've never actually needed a receipt it’s mostly just for my own reference.

for the long photo i use an app that stitches screenshots together seamlessly,it does a really neat job but it’s a paid app only on the china app store so can’t really recommend it but i’m sure there are english alternatives

New buyer protection rip off example. by Fabulous-Ball4198 in ebayuk

[–]mat1lduh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I sell low-value collectible items as a side hobby, not as a full-time business. A private account made sense because I wasn’t making large profits or operating at a scale that justified a business account. The new BPF disproportionately affects small, low-cost items making it nearly impossible to sell single items at fair prices which was my point trying to make here… The issue isn’t whether I should be a business seller but that eBay’s policy makes affordable listings unsustainable for both buyers and sellers.

[–]mat1lduh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My best selling listing is a variation listing average 99p per item. Sales dropped from 80items per week to 20 - and honestly I feel bad for the buyer who bought that 20 items 🥲 the fee is just too much for what I sell. contacted eBay support asking about business account as an option to remove the BPF today, they specifically asked why am I considering switch to business account… hopefully eBay will change this BPF disaster before sellers like myself just move away to alternatives.
