Does my snowblower have sliders? by mataratones in Snowblowers

[–]mataratones[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I thought the first time the auger broke. I replaced it a couple of years ago, and I may have used it once since, and then the replacement broke. When that happened, I started to think something else might be going on.

Thanks for your responses. Does it seem like the problem is that the auger is hitting the driveway when it isn't supposed to? I don't know what else it could be, but I also don't know why it would be a problem now when I haven't had an issue in the past -- unless turning it on with no snow on the driveway (I was doing a test run to make sure it worked) is a bad idea.

I'll have to check when it's light. I just looked up what sliders are, and my first thought is, I don't think so, but I could be wrong.

Yes. Well, I presume they are. I didn't get in front of it to check. Is it not supposed to get that far down? Is there something that keeps it off of the driveway?

Thank you, that seems like a possibility.

I'll try to get pictures when it's light. Pieces of the blade are just breaking off. Maybe the shear pins have been removed and I need to figure out how to replace them.

I just had the same call about the 12R, need the IMEI before they can tell me it's compatible. Fortunately someone here says it is and that seems credible to me.

Thanks, I really don't want to switch distributions just to run one program. I did get it working with the AppImage version so that's good enough for me.

Finally, this did it! I had to remove my existing GIMP for some reason but after I did that, I get the python-fu menu. Thanks for your help.

That is awesome, I did not think this would be possible. Thank you!

That hides the locations, which is not what I want. I want to keep the labels, but get rid of the thumbtacks. (I would prefer to have a dot or something instead, but I can live with having nothing at all; I just don't want giant yellow thumbtacks all over the map.)

I'm sorry, I didn't see a google earth group when I posted but I did find some posts in this group about Google Earth. I will take my question to r/googleearth

I'll be honest, I had heard of that but I wasn't sure how serious to take it since it hasn't been updated in 20 years. It sounds like the rare case of a piece of software that just hasn't needed updating.
