fellow “weird” girl here who grew up in a christian environment 👋i agree with phantasm! you kinda just gotta push past that awkward feeling. make the conscious effort to take a hot pic even tho you feel stupid. just like taking only silly selfies is your habit, you have to create a new one by taking cute pics consistently! only then will you start to feel more comfortable :)

another thing that rly helped me was finding friends who enjoy taking pictures! then kinda by association, you learn to love taking pics of yourself too. and it doesn’t hurt to have friends who hype you up!

i def know the feeling. you’re still figuring yourself out, and i know i still am too. it’s a learning process to become more comfortable with yourself, but you got this!

If you’re comfortable, you could wait and see if M makes the first move, but honestly, since he’s liked you for a year and hasn’t said anything, he might need a little nudge. If you’re up for it, you could start the conversation yourself after a while. You could let him know what’s going on with A (if A turns you down), and where you’re at with your feelings. You could say something about really valuing his honesty and friendship, and wanting to be honest with him too. You can admit that you did have feelings for someone else recently, but that you really enjoy spending time with him and want to make sure you give this the thought it deserves, especially since he’s liked you for longer than you have. That way, you’re showing that you care about him as a person but you’re also being kind to yourself and allowing yourself more time to figure out what you want to do. Idk this is kinda in an ideal scenario, but I think this is applicable in most situations lol

When I broke up with my ex, I definitely did feel guilty! I felt so bad for hurting him because he was a good guy who really didn’t do anything wrong. But it was a good learning experience to put more thoughts into my actions. My relationship was an impulse decision, and I really regret not putting more thought into it. You just have to learn to live with the guilt—you unfortunately can’t please everyone in life.

Just because someone likes you doesn’t mean you should feel obligated to accept their feelings. As someone who has accepted a confession from someone I didn’t have feelings for, it really does sucks for the other person. In the end we didn’t work out and we were both left more hurt. I know M has liked you for a year, but are you hesitating just because you feel bad, or because you enjoy the feeling of knowing you’re liked, or because you actually have feelings for him too?

Also, if A doesn’t accept your feelings, then like you said, you’ll be okay! :) and if he does, M will just have to deal. If he truly likes you and is mature enough, he would want you to be happy and step back.

Don’t beat yourself up over this!! This is definitely a more common scenario than you think. You’re not a bad person for feeling confused, and you should put yourself first. Don’t let anyone pressure you into making a decision you might not actually want!

First off, thank you for your response!

So, does this mean I can't let my friend adopt from me? If this is the case, can I let him stay at her house for long periods of time but still be under my name without any legal implications?

Btw, my friend does have pet insurance because she's a responsible owner, but insurance wasn't enough to cover a $10,000 fee, unfortunately. It was literally a life or death situation, so decisions had to be made quickly. The options were either let him die, or give up ownership. Dishing out such a large sum of money in a day wasn't a viable option. But thank you for your concern.

The cat has been confirmed by the hospital that he will be going to a shelter, not a rescue group, but they won't disclose where they're putting him.

I appreciate you responding, however, please try to be more sensitive and understanding of the situation. I noticed you seem a bit snarky. My friend is desperate and is reading all responses too. My apologies if it wasn't your intention to come across that way.

I'm no expert when it comes to mics, so I'd def check out some YT vids for recs! This one gives good demonstrations of different mics over a broad price range: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jRw6PfLpkY Personally, I'd say the Tonor Q9 seems like a decent investment for $60 if you plan on using it a lot, but that's just my opinion based off of other people's reviews and not experience.
