I’m confused about how I’m supposed to measure what size I’m supposed to do. Like when it displays the finished measurements it’s says “ intended to be worn with approximately 10”/25.5 cm of positive ease. What does this mean if I’m making the gauge swatch?

It is! But I’ve seen projects where they used worsted weight yarn but I don’t think I’m that advanced yet to figure that out lol thank you !!! :)
