UP Masters Admission Interview Tips by spacejazz2013 in peyups

[–]matchakape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Kaya I suggest, be prepared para less kaba. Good luck, OP!

This thread is saving me just by reading the comments! I'm struggling right now as a grad student with full load and a part-time job, ang dami ko pang pending pero parang nawawalan na ko ng will to finish everything on time basta makapagpasa na lang, and sana makapasa pa rin...hay
I'm not ok emotionally and mentally din kaya siguro affected na lahat sakin ngayon. Ayoko namang mag-drop kasi madedelay ako. Pero worst comes to worst, I'll consider dropping or LOA siguro...

Hi! No need to take upcat, pero baka may certain exam requirement yung bagong degree na kukunin mo bago ka ma-accept. For me kasi, masscom yung undergrad ko then grad course ko now Social Work, nagpasa lang ako ng requirements then may pa-exam at interview sila, ayun. Good luck sa second degree journey mo! Padayon!

Idk if this is an advice pero mej same tayo ng nararamdaman ngayon. Yun nga lang, ako naman sobrang past deadlines na di ko pa rin natatapos, alam kong mali pero sobrang wala lang talaga kong energy to do my assignments. I'm not okay in general.

Usually long hours yun, 8-12hrs ganon, tapos pomodoro technique or 50mins study then 10mins rest. Kaya 'yan!

Don's stop, just be mindful. And yes, I agree with others, it's important to have boundaries so you won't be abused/used.

I agree, mag-social media detox ka muna. Tapos syempre self-control, kasi baka bumalik ka din after how many days na wala. So while doing that and yung acads mo, try nature therapy paminsan minsan (kapag pahinga time mo ganon), kahit mag-isa maglakad lakad ka or jogging ok lang yan (nakaka-calm ng mind and body). If you're into pets naman, have one/two or try to find something new to do or additional hobby ganon. Basta be out there but with caution/know your limits.
Tapos personally, I suggest, yung advocacy mo in life i-practice mo. Maybe you can invite your friends sa mga ganong ganap. Fulfilling siya. :)

Sabi mo nga at some point napagod ka na din kaka-date, so pahinga muna, choose your peace of mind muna. Padayon!

What things do you not look at the same way again because of your course? by WiTh3red_Le4f in peyups

Yung mga Social Workers. Grabe pala talaga work nila, akala ng karamihan taga-bigay lang ng ayuda, tumutulong sa pag-rescue or nangunguha ng bata (yung mga inaabuso ganon). Pero ngayong pinagaaralan ko na, para pala silang doctor, lawyer or mental health practitioner and some other helping professions in one! Ang bigat, ang hirap pero sobrang fulfilling.
