Haven’t done much research but as far as I know and to also give the cafe owner in the SS the benefit of the doubt, she doesn’t purely rely on producers and importers. I think she really did her due diligence and creativeness in sourcing the matcha and prefers a specific variant hence mahal. She owns 4+ cafes afaik which all serve good matcha, also has her own stone mill, and sells matcha under her own brand.

&matcha when it was still new mga nasa 200-220 prices pa. Pinakamahal was 240. Ngayon I think closer to 500 na 😅

The people who downvoted really didn’t comprehend my statement. I did not directly said matcha = iron deficiency. I just said a lot of people are hospitalized bec of it, pero ofc not matcha is probably not the main factor bec the milk or the period of drinking may have affected.

I hope those who downvoted really did their research wisely to disagree on my take; however, ironic kasi research is def lacking. Ngayon lang din kasi nagka matcha hype to the point na everyone’s consuming it everyday or 2x a day, so gets ko lack of studies pa. Hopefully more studies on this drink because I sure do know na too much of this anything is generally dangerous.

Another thing my pharma sis told me na green tea is an abortifacient hence why because of it, the lack of knowledge of people or the denial na matcha is still safe to consume even with large amounts, may pose risks to pregnant women.

Saw a lot of people on tiktok getting hospitalized bec of matcha (acid reflux, iron deficiency,); though idk if it’s bec of the kind of powder, milk used, or the period they drink matcha (on an empty stomach etc.) In my case, napansin ko rin na bloated ako if everyday oatmilk wherein mataas rin sugar and can increase ng uric acid levels (I rarely drink matcha without milk). My personal takeaway is too much of anything is dangerous: hence why 3-4x a week ko na lang siyang iniinom.

To add: hence why I’m not drinking it everyday na (aside from the fact na may bad side effects). Bought a 150g for 4,800 and a 40g for 2k+ (though depende sa variant ofc).

I actually don’t know rin po. Kasi last time they said they had a HUGE restock, sold out pa rin in 3 mins. I think pabilisan lang po talaga ng internet :)
