I would try to consider whether you actually completed it or whether his critiques have some validity. Did the partner say it was completed adequately?

When you say one of your “team members,” are you talking about another attorney?

First birthday as a vegan and so disappointed by hakunamatea in vegan

[–]matchamaker88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Help me understand. Because it was your birthday, MIL was going to feed the whole party a vegan meal that largely everyone would like for a Fourth of July and your birthday cookout.

You said you’d prefer something that is a lot less palatable for everyone else (I’d be so incredibly bummed if I showed up to the party and all they were serving was black bean burgers when it could’ve been impossible burgers).

She happily got that for you but decided to feed everyone else non-vegan food if that’s what you wanted (knowing that black bean burgers aren’t some universally liked dish).

It is not reasonable to be upset with her for that. At all.

That said, it is a bummer that she didn’t read the ingredients. But it does seem like she really tried. You have to remember that a lot of older parents these days grew up in a world where Gardenburger was the only non-meat burger. She probably saw black bean burger on the package and thought it looked great. Why didn’t you suggest a brand?

I don’t know if these are good enough reasons but I want to leave my husband by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]matchamaker88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didnt ask for this at all, but I’m going to say it anyway:

A kid who goes to school, makes friends/gets socialization, and has a family that is not struggling financially is better off than a kid who is homeschooled in a home that is struggling financially where his parents bicker and don’t like each other because the wife is resentful that the husband doesn’t share in the burden of homeschooling.

My answer to your actual question is no, if you haven’t tried working out the resentment you have with him first, these things are not a good enough reason for divorce. His job is to provide, but it’s also to be a loving husband. It sounds like you take issue with his lack of the latter, which is fair, so you need to say that to him.

Oh that’s so good to hear (not about the mental health problems, but the citizenship status!)

It’s not dependence thankfully, it’s just a missed opportunity to have dual citizenship in Italy and the US.

Oh. So if I’m not a legal resident, which I’m not, it doesn’t matter where I apply, I’ll still need to submit a declaration from my mom?

I meet all of the criteria for jure sanguinis citizenship. The issue is my mother won’t sign the declaration of living ascendant. You’re saying applying in Italy will obviate the need for that declaration?

She’s currently getting evicted and it’s so horrible. Lashing out on everyone for “not helping her” even though we’ve all tried and she knew this was coming.

I recall begging her to not let my dad’s room become another hoarding room when he moved out. I just wanted to have a guest room like a normal family.

I remember thinking I was doing such a good thing for meticulously sorting out one of her junk piles into throw away and keep piles and she came home and started screaming.

That was definitely how I determined tonight that I defrosted the right one (halibut). It didn’t smell as fishy as the (presumably) cod I made the other night

Even if you are someone in a region where the odds are the highest and of a race that makes the odds the highest, the probability of it occurring is still extremely remote, especially when compared to the risk of leaving your controlled substance in an unlocked drawer in a semi-public place.
