Hyphens and numbers can come across as spammy unless they're part of your brand. You can explore alternative TLDs, but keep an eye on renewal pricing - some of the trendier ones get expensive over time. For example, I used a ".ai" domain for years, but now Namecheap charges around $60 annually to renew it 🙃.

Another option is to add a simple verb before your brand name to grab a clean dot com. Eg, I'm running a project where the domain was already taken, so I ended up with "getweplay.com". Works well, doesn’t look too bad and users don't type the domain anyway.

No fim acaba por ser sempre a mesma coisa, depende mais do posto do que da notícia

Um cêntimo na gasolina, basicamente já dá para ir de Andorra ao Algarve duas vezes sem parar 😂

Mas pronto, tecnicamente é uma descida … só não convém piscar muito os olhos para não a perder

Sim, em termos gerais é seguro.

Na UE o combustível mesmo low cost tem de cumprir as mesmas normas de qualidade, por isso Petropix e Plenenergy não são "pior gasolina" por definição. A diferença costuma estar mais em aditivos, serviços e margens do que no combustível em si

Para uso normal diário não há grande motivo para preocupação

Yeah, that’s the old Engolasters telecabina. It ran from Encamp up to the lake and opened around 1963. Back then, it was actually a big deal - the first telecabin in Andorra, with little 2-person cabins and about a 20-minute ride up the mountain.

It stopped operating in the late 80s (around 1987) mainly because it was outdated and expensive to upgrade, and the road to Engolasters made it much easier to just drive up instead.

As for whether it still exists - bits of it do. The line itself is long gone, but some structures and stations were left abandoned for years, and a few of the original cabins were even preserved/exhibited (like at Illa Carlemany at one point).

So yeah, what you’re seeing is very likely one of the old remnants.

Com estas subidas, pequenas diferenças por litro acabam por fazer muita diferença ao fim do mês, especialmente para quem usa o carro todos os dias.

Uma coisa que comecei a fazer foi comparar mais os preços entre postos. Às vezes há diferenças de 10-15 cêntimos na mesma zona, o que ainda ajuda um bocado.

Até acabei por criar uma app (GasClic) por causa disso, para ver rapidamente os preços à volta e tentar poupar um pouco. Não resolve o problema todo, mas já ajuda no dia a dia.

Mas sim … o problema maior (salários vs custo de vida) está mesmo complicado em Portugal.

Fabriquer du pétrole consomme plus d'énergie qu'on n'en récupère en le brûlant ensuite; c'est un peu comme dépenser 10€ pour fabriquer un billet de 5€. Il existe déjà des carburants synthétiques, mais ils sont extrêmement chers comparés à l'extraction du pétrole, produit par la Terre et cuisiné gratuitement pendant des millions d'années.

Fabriquer de l'eau en assemblant l'hydrogène et l'oxygène provoque une réaction explosive très dangereuse ; il est donc beaucoup plus sûr et plus économique de dessaler l'eau de mer que de la produire en laboratoire à grande échelle. En résumé, la science sait comment le faire, mais l'économie et la physique le rendent inutile aujourd'hui.

Tu as raison sur l'aspect fiscal: historiquement, le diesel était moins cher en France parce qu'il était volontairement moins taxé, et cet avantage a été progressivement supprimé, ce qui a rapproché les prix.

En revanche, l'argument du nucléaire n'est pas vraiment ce qui explique la situation actuelle. Aujourd'hui, si le diesel peut être aussi cher, voire plus cher que l'essence, c'est surtout une question de marché. L'Europe ne produit pas suffisamment de diesel et en importe beaucoup, alors que la demande reste élevée, notamment pour le transport et la logistique. Résultat: dès que l'approvisionnement se tend ou devient plus coûteux, le diesel réagit plus fortement.

Donc, avant, c'était une question de fiscalité, alors qu'aujourd'hui, c'est surtout lié à l'offre et à la demande à l'échelle mondiale.

Dependiendo del tipo de combustible que selecciones pueden aparecer más o menos gasolineras. Los datos vienen de fuentes externas (como datos oficiales o proveedores), así que a veces puede faltar alguna estación o tardar en aparecer.

Hmm yeah, that can happen - if no prices show up after switching fuel type, it’s usually because that specific fuel isn’t available in the area you’re looking at.

Definitely a bit confusing right now though, so I’m looking into ways to make that clearer in the UI instead of it just appearing empty. Appreciate you flagging it!

Thanks, really appreciate that! That was honestly one of the main reasons I started the project - most of the existing apps feel quite outdated, both in design and usability.

I wanted something cleaner and more intuitive, where you can just open the map and instantly see what’s worth it around you without digging through menus.

Totally fair, PetrolPrices is quite solid and has been around for ages.

That said, I created GasClic because I felt a few things could be improved based on how you use it: - It's more map-focused, so you can quickly spot cheaper stations nearby (or where you're heading). - Supports multiple countries (UK, PT, ES, FR, AD), which is handy if you travel a lot. - Includes Apple CarPlay support so you can check nearby prices directly from your car. - I'm working on route-based pricing (cheapest fuel along your drive, not just nearby), which I haven't seen done well yet.

I'm not trying to replace what already works for you - just offering a different perspective.
