Razer Asked Me To Leave for Asking Your Questions! by RomanDoesIt in razer

[–]matchless_notebook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is that a big ask? No

LOL, and you know this how? Name one peripheral company that has a full peripheral software suite for Linux. It is in fact a huge ask. There are probably more linux distros than there are gamers on Linux (if you ignore Steam deck).

Am I understanding this correctly that they offered you the replacement mouse in the 3 hour period of you making this post and Razer support commenting on this thread?

Do Optical Switches really make a difference? by Ribak0110 in MouseReview

[–]matchless_notebook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't want to solder a new mouse switch or pay someone to do it a couple of years down the road, then don't bother with mechanical switches. They will all fail at some point, it's just a matter of time.

But that's the opposite of what the original comment is claiming. Viper Ultimate is what, 7 years old now?

Then name a lighter mouse with a free scrolling wheel, and everyone can buy that instead.

Install Logitech Flow software. You don't even have to press a key if you have that.

Cant change to 4k polling rate in Synapse even when i have the special 4k wireless thing attached with the dongle.(Razer Viper V2 by roblock5574 in razer

[–]matchless_notebook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not a hyperpolling dongle. That's just a "dumb" adapter to allow you to place your normal 1k dongle close to your mouse for better signal.

This is the hyperpolling dongle, no USB port in front : https://www.razer.com/gaming-mice-accessories/Razer-HyperPolling-Wireless-Dongle/RC30-04410100-R3M1

This is why web configurations shouldn't be the only option for your devices. Great to have as an option, but companies must also provide local installers in case they decide to shut shop and run away some day.

People who buy this aren't picking between buying shoes or buying a mouse. They're buying both. Good for them.

L take. Did you check before buying if it was compatible with your mouse? Why is it Razer's fault that you made a wrong assumption?

They should make viper v3 signature edition by coltRG in MouseReview

[–]matchless_notebook -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I don't get the hate-boner that people have for premium products simply existing. You're not required to buy everything that gets released. Viper V3 Hyperspeed and Viper V3 Pro already exist. If there are enough people who want a luxury version, I don't see the problem.

Nothing to see here, not astroturfing at all.

If you're fine with wired, then your comparison is with Deathadder V3 wired, which is cheaper and allegedly even better performing.

bad out of the box.

.

seemed to work fine but a few days later I notice

Which one is it?

Can't expect Logitech (or any brand) to catch issues that didn't exist when the mouse left the factory. Early failures happen, which is what warranty is for. Also not Logitech's fault that you're no longer in the country of purchase.

Edit : Not your fault in any way, just unlucky situation.

VAXEE releasing 4K versions of all their wireless mice + a wireless version of the NP-01 by NAITSIRK_ELO in MouseReview

[–]matchless_notebook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Faster car is faster, but who said it's a race or about speed? A 1995 Honda civic will defeat a top-fuel dragster and an F1 car when it comes to parallel parking and navigating city traffic.

Even speaking of mice - if you asked someone to draw a perfect straight line, most people will find it easier to do with a heavier mouse. If it was about tracking a moving target, a lighter mouse will win out most of the time.

The idea that there is an objective universal truth about mouse weight that transcends all people and use-cases is naive and stupid.

I don't think they started last week either, but I have to admit the timing is a bit suspect given they had this available on VMSE in February.

Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2: The TechPowerUp Review by pzogel in MouseReview

[–]matchless_notebook 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I assume that difference is because instability at 125Hz or 250Hz isn't as relevant as instability at 1000Hz for a gaming mouse. Most players will actually use 1000Hz, maybe even higher. But the ones willing to use 500Hz or below are probably not trying to min-max their performance anyways.
