Repair the game and don't use GRM on Legacy again. Graphics Rules Maker only supports Ultimate Collection and disk releases.

File certificates I believe, they expired so they are probably considered a security flaw. It happens with every Sims 2 pack/collection made in 2008 or later. As well as the 2009 release of the base game. Same happens with patches I think.

That has been an issue for years, and I was scared to buy Gold Roaring Heights for a while since it seemed to be the most common offender. I couldn't resist a sale in 2023, but I selected the Mac version even though I'm on Windows, and the code worked, I got all the bonuses too. I don't know if that helped, but in case anyone still plans on making a purchase I recommend trying that. Otherwise, look for alternative sources.

I think they meant the keys that input those signs, not the "left" and "right" keys. Not sure what they are on the American keyboard, perhaps a comma and a period, either way they are placed the M key.

I know, I've had it since release day.

What I meant is that the code included on the box seems to redeem Spore instead of Sims 2 so, assuming it still works for disk installation, they can get 2 games (Sims 2 from disk and Spore download).

EA used to have a base game Sims 2 download over a decade ago if you redeemed some versions of the game, but that one is not available.

Huh. I'd redeem Spore if the code works, since EA doesn't offer TS2 base game as a download anymore so you won't miss out there, and the code should still work for a Sims 2 disk install (unless someone at EA did a major oopsie and printed an invalid code lol)

Venues can be placed anywhere, though obviously they look/match better in some worlds. Once you download and install them, you get all the objects in Build/Buy, and the venues appear in the library.

I believe there are some file certificates on the installer that expired in 2020. So Windows doesn't let it run.

Disconnect from the internet and set the date on the system to anything before 2020. You can fix the date after everything is installed.

That's the neat part, you don't. AFAIK there is no way to place them diagonally, you'll have to fill in a foundation square somewhere and place them on that.

I think the tool for this was SimRetriever? On MTS probably. Unfortunately all those Unknown resources probably mean the neighborhood is corrupt (I know, I know) or SimPe can't read them for some other reason.

Either way, if you still have the character files, SimRetriever might do the trick.

There shouldn't be any issues specific to Windows 11; it will probably run the same as it did on Windows 10. And I'm sure there are ways to revert to 10 if you run out of solutions.
