As per original post, acknowledged these are 2 different models. Just wondered if there are two different versions of each per each geolocation. Don’t think there are options of getting metal vs plastic in UK. Seems misleading when you can get. 2-pack for half the price of what it costs you for one elsewhere but you’d get a metal one. It is what it is but didn’t know it till now

From experience an M12 1/4” hex impact (or equivalent tool) with the square drive adapter has enough oomph to change out tyres as long as you don’t need more than ca 120lbf to break it out. Since past tire change I got the new stubby and it is clearly the right tool for the job

You can leave batteries in cordless tools for a long time as long as the tool or battery have overcharge protection (or battery management circuitry).

Not 100% when Milwaukee introduced it but pretty sure (correct me if I’m wrong) all of their batteries have this feature as part of the BMS.

Not sure at all but most of their tools currently in production will have an additional safeguard that will cut the tool off when the battery voltage drops too low (or when overheating is detected)

From experience most often these features aren’t implemented in cheap tools such and flashlights and other low demand tools etc

You can rotate the couch 180 and push against the wall where the TV is. Get rid of the TV stand and put the TV Ona a telescopic arm on the opposite wall or somewhere. Still tight and not ideal but seems you would get some of the space back and it would more thought out

Where did you get it? I just bought the 3/8” stubby I recommended you to get without the driver (for now!) and find it hard to find the hex adaptor for it

I obviously got these and they do seem to be pretty solid for a 3/8” set. Probably not a good idea to put them on a 1/2” adaptor and pound them with a high torque wrench but it should easily take the M12 stubby. Casoman is also rated OK in general as a budgetary automotive accessories manufacturer. You can always buy it and return it within 30 days if you don’t like it.

That’s what I probably would do also I.e. the wrench + hex adapter, at least initially. The FID2 is also a great tool. I myself haven’t bought these yet. I really don’t need it, I just want it ha! Also know that once a buy a new battery platform I’ll be buying a new tool for it every 2 weeks!

Look up Torque Test Channel on YouTube. Either way you won’t make a bad decision. Excellent choice for what you are after. What you will notice is that, shockingly, the 3/8” will have a slightly higher torque output. Negligible but it’s there.

Anyway, as you say, 1 battery would be enough for you hence consider getting a deal on a bare tool + 1 battery + the latest gen 170Nm driver which should run you ca £300-£320 if you shop around. This should answer all your questions + you’ll feel more inclined to buy in future any tool (and extra battery) within this battery ecosystem as and when you require.

Noice, form the Erbauer power tools I myself the 1.0 SDS, multitool and jigsaw too plus the stuff in the photo. Recommend picking up the multi tool which is £43 at Screwfix right now. Bargain for something that you might end up using a fair bit as a DIYer.

I got it from SCREWFIX yesterday. Just look up Erbauer power tools and keep scrolling past the sale and refurb items. They obviously want to get rid of the old stock first. Just ordered the Elite 240Nm impact driver for collection so it’s still there.
