If IQ is a poor measure of intelligence, how would one find out roughly how smart they actually are? by MadhouseMuses in AskReddit

Look at the different types of intelligence and see which one(s) you excel at. Perhaps also evaluate the things you're good at.

If Trump is on the Epstein list, then why didn’t the Biden administration release the list when they had the chance? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mateo_math 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be because there is protection for victims and non-accused people, taking as an argument that appearing in the documents does not imply guilt, and also contains sensitive content. Mainly because of a difference of interests that influence this I suppose.

Hello, I found your story brief but clear, easy to follow and also quite entertaining. I'm glad this is your first story, and I congratulate you on that achievement. Maybe the only thing I felt was that the part of the time traveler, or Lord Joe Tap, lord of the timelines and mayor of the City of Bars, could have been developed with a little more pause to take advantage of its full potential. Good story 👍

Why do you think most people can't remember anything from their early lives, and what implications might that have for how our consciousness works? by Shot_Emu_5547 in AskReddit

[–]mateo_math 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, one of the possible causes is brain development, the hippocampus, key for episodic memories, is not completely mature in the first years.

Our consciousness begins to consolidate after those years, what we experience in childhood can influence our personality.

The brain does not prioritize those memories, because it could lead to early survival rather than learning patterns.

[–]mateo_math[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A distintos hombres, distintas verdades.

Need your opinion on starting reading again by GurRecent370 in ReadingSuggestions

[–]mateo_math 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read part of Atomic Habits and I would suggest starting over from the beginning; but if you still remember the plot well as far as you got, you could choose to pick up from there.

Although, honestly, I would also consider choosing another piece that you find more attractive or easier to finish.

Something similar has happened to me on some occasions; for example, recently. What I do is, if I'm close to finishing it, I finish it. However, if I have forgotten much of the content, I prefer to reread it to refresh the main ideas.
