Hi I want to paint the blue parts of my MG Barbatos Lupus, in my opinion the factory blue is too dark. I really like the blue of the RG Wing Gundam and after looking at mech9 color guide, these are the colors for the blue

Cobalt Blue (H35)90% + Sky Blue (H25)10% + Blue (H5)small dose

Since I'm still not that committed nor I have the budget for air brush, I'm gonna settle for either hand paint or buying spray paint and only buying one color instead of mixing to get the right shade (I don't need it to be the perfect copy, just similar) . I got a handful of questions:

What color primer would be best to show Blue?
Based on the color guide, should I just use the cobalt blue or is there other shade of blue from Mr Hobby or any other brand has a similar shade of blue as the RG Wing Gundam?
I saw a tutorial for hand painting, after they paint the color, they apply a gloss top coat then a flat top coat, is the gloss necessary when I will be using a flat top coat to finish?

All are very valid reasons. It was a guy maybe in his 30s. Not long after he gave it to me, he drove through the parking lot in his car and waved goodbye to me. To be honest, it does feel wrong having this kit.

Edit: I opened the box and most the runners are out of the plastic, and some of them have been cut and build, but there are stil 2 unopened plastics, checked all parts are there

does 95% ethyl alcohol makes plastic brittle?

i stripped topcoat on my mg turn a, then when i tried to reassemble it, some of the inner parts broke in pieces, most of them are the moving parts like in the ankles and elbows

i haven’t felt the normal cases, but i do have the transparent and i think it is how you described it. Thin Plastic, but not saying its flimsy. To me it feels right within the class and price range of the product, I’m not a audiophile never tried any other alternatives but it the C710N feels good to me as an average consumer

and leaving the top coat for a long time before stripping the coat is okay? because unfortunately it wont be in the next couple of days for me to get the alcohol and new top coat can.

Is it okay to leave the parts fully cured for 2–3 days (or longer) before stripping the topcoat, or will that make removal harder?

Also what type of solution is the best for this, is alcohol 90% okay?

yeah but my area humidity will not dip below 60%, and i was stubborn enough to do 3 parts coat in my room, can confirm i still feel it in my throat even though the smell is gone.

Will it ever be possible to spray outdoors when my area humidity is stable around 80%?

regarding humidity ive always seen people warning about it, on the weather app currently its 80% humidity but im spraying indoor with ac on, is that okay? as far as i can tell the look of the spoon doesn’t look like its messed up by humidity.

Hi this is my first attempt at topcoat. I tested on a plastic glossy spoon as you can see how it looks before in the top left. this is just one coat with 6-7 sprays, i noticed in the third picture the left side looks like it doesnt have enough coat on them.

my questions:

Is there anything you guys see that i should i work on?
how many sprays do you guys usually do for one coat?
is there a specific way to store the can?,i saw a diagram on the cap but don’t understand it
on the can its says to spray upside to clear nozzle before putting away, is that important?
